Computer science will now forever be a dogshit degree, we will never return to the 2010s era of the computer science job market. Anyone, including myself, who has spent years pursuing this degree, has flushed all of their time down the shitter that they will never get back. Copers and tech influencers will bullshit you that it's still a degree worth pursuing. But it's not, only the top 10% make it while the rest work at McDonald's.Thousands of people all across the country have wasted time, became permanently unemployed, and have thousands of dollars of student debt pursuing this meme degree. You can grind shitcode all you want, build ten million more useless projects, network with a bunch of other unemployed losers like yourself at job fairs, send 999 trillion more applications, or whatever fucking cope you have left, it doesn't matter what you do, your only options will be unemployment or working at McDonald's.It's over. There is no hope, accept reality and give up right now or suffer the consequences of your copes.
Your capitalist self cantered head can compete with us for an exchange anymore. BOOHOO
>>16961907>just work harder bruhKill yourself boomer nigger
They put up with a social cost or your mum starts to complain about not being able to crowd people in for her free sexuality.
>>16961901>Hehe, feel miserable. Please post replies about how miserable you. It's the only way I can feel anything. Feed me you misery! You're a ghoul. There's nothing of value in your post, you're here to farm for negative emotions.
>>16961940This has always been the case for this place.
>>16961901It's always been that way since anyone in college getting a CS degree is wasting time they could have been building skills for the same career with industry credentials that are free on Cisco academy or in a book.
>>16961945The problem is that CS is more of a math degree than anything else with the intended focus of going into research at the grad school level, which a lot of people don't want to go into. Things like software engineering, ML, or just basic programming jobs can and often are obtained without college.
>>16961950Yeah, that's my point, you can get a lot of IT certifications but until you're writing hard math that AI struggles with do to spatial and logical awareness, you aren't going to be making money. Even then, you will also have to find a job that actually wants to pay money to produce something instead of just hyping it's stock.
>>16961960Industry is one thing, going through grad school to do research with a CS or math degree is another. A lot of industry already has their own R&D departments where they have the budget to hire on the best they can, that leaves people with the option of research through the university at the grad level. Both scenarios still require human input and originality, AI can't do everything. Sometimes it's not about money, some folks sincerely enjoy conducting research, especially when it comes to math. But the results of this heavily depends on what you're research actually is.
>>16961901the irony being that computer science is the only actual science that we have is almost too funny
>>16961940>There's nothing of value in your posGo ahead you retarded nigger faggot, keep digging your head in the sand and pretend that this industry isn't collapsing catastrophically. Keep working harder and one day you too will put the fries in the bag, NIGGER.
It will still be needed, just the human capital will just be decreased. AI is going to make it harder. But if your God tier at compsci, and you have a super advanced AI that you can control. You'd be able to do pretty much anything,
>>16961901It almost always comes out in these threads that OP is Indian and trying to find a company willing to hire him on a visa
>>16961971Incorrect. AI is superior to human activity in every respect. With Agentic AI humans are obsolete. Face it. AI is the future.
>>16961901>But it's not, only the top 10% make it while the rest work at McDonald's.good luck, you'll learn about overqualification where you'll come out less employable cause the manager knows you'll be more likely to quit upwardstruth hits hard that most could likely net more red meat with a recurve bow than through the wage system
I got away from the cities and big companies and its so much better. I am the lone programmer at a local pharmaceutical warehouse in Indiana. Pay is trash, but its very comfy.
