wasn't that guy actually a government employee?

Assuming it's actually true, modern society is mostly about learning heuristics and following them somewhat blindly with little understanding of the reason behind them. If you've ever been in an area after a natural disaster, you get to see just how lost most people are when the basic routines of daily life are interrupted. Areas that are usually a bunch of normies blindly marching along through life become rich sources of diverse human behavior.
In the right social environment, a person of very limited mental capacity could blindly follow whatever path is laid out for them. Until something interrupts that path, they do fine.

The picture is real, it's from a Lancet case study. However, it shows a buildup of fluid in the brain, not "missing brain matter".
What is truly shocking is that in this study, it was revealed that he has an IQ of 75 and still managed to be married and he had two kids with his wife.

>His neurological development and medical history were otherwise normal. He was a married father of two children, and worked as a civil servant. On neuropsychological testing, he proved to have an intelligence quotient (IQ) of 75: his verbal IQ was 84, and his performance IQ 70.

Ignorance truly is bliss. Should I get a hemispherectomy?

I still wonder if there's any evidence for a correlation between higher IQ and lower reproductive success in men (no I don't mean the one single meme graph that gets posted sometimes). And this only seems to affect men. Is it because higher IQ men are more anxious? But if so, why should a higher IQ and a more sensitive nervous system be linked? Women are, on average, much more anxious than men, but they don't show a higher IQ. If anything, higher IQ should make it easier for one to learn how to sucessfully courtship women. If ignorance is truly the key to success, why aren't we all dense as hell?

Higher IQ comes with increased capacity for recursive modelling which comes with analysis paralysis or schizophrenia.

Interesting. If this is true, then why are there still many highly intelligent men who grow up to be successful economically as well as romantically? What are the other factors?

How does 90% of brain just disappear?

>normal life
i see many legitimate retards who speak slowly, barely function, have handlers, and can easily be described as having "normal lives"

it doesn't disappear. it never grew in the first place

Probably socialization. Consider that boys are usually forced into adult responsibilities much earlier, and that emotional dysregulation resulting from traumatic detachment in boys is often seen as a moral failure by the boy, not a failure by his parents.
Could also be too many tits on TV though.

I don't know ebolacels breed among themselves until they die in their early 20s due to some shit they brought upon themselves, and they've existed in the same exact way and without a single thought in their heads for hundreds of thousands of years

It's more like it was squeezed in by liquid buildup
