New scientific study reveals startling trends in political ideologies of academics
>>
I'm waiting to see the contraction mapping of communism operator to a utopia... I've yet to see a formal proof and if anything history sort of signals otherwise but they will respond that it wasn't a real communism operator.

Which "academies" are in the survey and is the trend controlled for change in racial % and so on, against the gen pop stats?

10% of rightoids is still surprisingly high.

A conservative wants a far-leftist to convert your child into a tranny more gradually so the rape occurs a few years later.
A far-rightist is the child who got converted into a tranny and then raped.

It's because the religious fundamentalists started growing as a core base of the right so of course actual intelligent people started moving away from the right.

>A study, conducted in 1969 on behalf of the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education, was the first to be performed with a large survey sample, extensive questions about political views, and what Neil Gross characterized as highly rigorous analytic methods. The study was conducted in 1969 by political scientist Everett Carll Ladd and sociologist Seymour Martin Lipset, who surveyed 60,000 academics in multiple fields of study at 303 institutions about their political views. They reported that faculty in the humanities and social sciences tended to be the most liberal, while those in "applied professional schools such as nursing and home economics" and in agriculture were the most conservative. Younger faculty tended to be more liberal than older faculty, and faculty across the political spectrum tended to disapprove of the student activism of the 1960s.
>Follow-up surveys: 1975, 1984, 1989, and 1997.
>Beginning in 1989, the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at UCLA has conducted a survey of full-time faculty at American four-year colleges and universities every three years. The HERI Faculty Survey gathers comprehensive information about the faculty experience, such as position, field, institutional details, and personal opinion and views, including a single question asking respondents to self-identify their political orientation as "far left", "liberal", "moderate/middle of the road", "conservative", or "far right". Between 1989 and 1998, the survey showed negligible change in the number of professors who described themselves as far left or liberal, approximately 45%. As of 2014, surveying 16,112 professors, the percentage of liberal/far left had increased to 60%.
The graph is an amalgamation of HERI and Cernegie data, which is exactly what the image states at the bottom and took me less than sixty seconds to find the above. Why are you so lazy and/or incompetent?

If you learn about the fistory of economic systems it quickly becomes clear the goal has always been for nobels to profit from the work of the plebs so they can make a fortune doing nothing.
Leftists economics think this is bad for society as a whole.

What did he mean by this?

I genuinely believe a huge portion of this extreme leftyfication of academia is just a consequence of the utter inability of Anglo conservatives to accept evolution and the Earth’s age. In doing so they completely surrendered academia (where you have to believe such things) to the left and cemented a creeping consolidation of progressive power

Does this happen in any country besides the US?
>>
>>16964352
misleading graph. the definitions of far left and far right have significantly shifted in the past ten years. the faculty are tenured and haven't changed their views. the labeling of their views has changed

? What are a few positions that got relabeled (right -> left) or (right -> center) or (center -> left) in the ten years leading up to that graph, from 2012 to 2022? I've only noticed the arrow going the other way but maybe I missed a few things.

The trendline is actually linear from the late 90s, with an irrational exuberance after the imaginary future of Obama was elected, followed by a bear trap after Obama was seen to suck so much in real life, followed by a rechanneling into the same trend after Trump was also seen to suck in the exact same way Obama sucks.

>>
>conservatives hate science and scientists and do everything in their power to censor and defund science
>"why aren't scientists conservative??"
You need to be a grade-A cuck to support an ideology that hates you and wants to take away your living. I'm more surprised by the middle-of-the-road statistic, whatever that means. Most academics I know are centrists. Maybe they're lumped together with the far left on the graph.

Pretty much all of china is run by literal engies. Even Xi studied chemical engineering. 30% of central committee have a STEM background and it remains one of the most common ways to get into high level CCP leadership.

>Pretty much all of china is run by literal engies.
That being of the 24 members of the politburo 15 are STEM, 3 are econ/finance, 3 are philosophy/literature, and 3 including Xi (undergrad chemical engineering, doctorate in law) are law

This is retarded.
First, it's all academia. It's well-known universities have become liberal indoctrination centres, these numbers will include gender studies professors and other such nonsense. STEM figures would be different (and actually relevant on this board)
Second, a bunch of people will want to protect their interests, as coming out as conservative in such a toxic environment would likely risk their career. I'm actually amazed as many as 10% had the balls to confirm they were conservative. I guarantee most moderates there are actually right-wing, and a large proportion of liberals are actually moderates or conservative. Nobody would lie the other way.
Lastly, no mention of sample size.

that's just because only women, immigrants, and gay people go to college anymore.

That's because conservatives are too dumb to finish college, let alone pursue a career in academia.

>New scientific study reveals startling trends in political ideologies of academics
Interesting. I wonder how it correlates with the decline in quality of academic output, rampant academic fraud, journals being oversaturated with slop, and now ChatGPT "research". I'm guessing no correlation there, or if there is any, it's a pure coincidence. :^)
>>
>>16968430
>most people benefit from external education
Wrong. Most people are made dumber and more evil by any kind of education, but especially state education. Even learning how to read and write leaves the average person worse off. For example, teaching midwits (sub-140-IQs) science-adjacent terms generally makes them have insane thoughts and behave like hallucinating LLMs.

Why did it take 40 posts for anyone to post the correct and most obvious answer?
>>

>most people benefit from external education.
That's a truism, but most of the "success" that you see is just credentialism, and then there are DIE hires.

among black college graduates, only 18 percent are able to summarize the content of a newspaper article. Only 11 percent of black college graduates are able to understand a bus schedule, and only 14 percent of black college graduates are able to calculate the cost, change due, and a 10 percent tip on a lunch.

Okay? Now contrast with percentage of whites from the same environment.

Electricians make somewhere around couple hundred K now with data center boom and EV boom.
>>
>>16968903
Yes, if you did a 5 minute google search you would know putin has a phd-equivalent degree in economics and xi has a doctorate in law
>>
>>16969133
SES is genetically confounded. SES is 40% heritable within a single year and with error uncontrolled (which necessarily decreases the genetic correlation,
Since error inflates the environmental variance), so to just control for SES is to commit the Scooologist's Fallacy.

https://www.emilkirkegaard.com/p/sociologists-fallacy-origins-of-the-term?utm_source=publication-search

We know that of siblings, the one with the greater childhood IQ generally goes on to have a higher income and SES in adulthood (Murray, 2002).

But, all of this is besides the point, anyway, since you know that my argument was about DIE hires.

Hmmm, I wonder who an Academic tend to gravitate to?
