Everyone who cares about understanding the concept of "consciousness" has consciousness themselves. Yet that hasn't help them one bit in understanding what it is and how it arises in the mind.Don't worry, here's the explanation. Consciousness is a phenomenon that results from the combination of three sources: the way analog systems work, the way memory works, and the way processes are created in the Mind. Also, giving AIs Consciousness is rather simple.Read Consciousness Explained here:https://artiesays8.wordpress.com/2026/04/23/consciousness-explained/
The fact that consciousness is required to observe consciousness is precisely the problem. You cannot observe the absence of consciousness so you cannot isolate any variables regarding when it does and doesn't arise. Emergentism, like what you described, is a valid hypothesis but the the inherent limitation that observation is the thing you're attempting to observe means any explanation is going to be pure speculation.
>>16964441Make imaginary parameters for example the concept of unityou can have 1 with no conciousness but you need conciousness to determine twoyou need conciousness to determine that the properties of 1 apply to 2 and viceversa
>>16964409>no falsifiable definitionfuck off
>>16964409>The actual physical/biochemical explanation of what Qualia is is too complicated and it is not relevant to this discussion. That is the ONLY thing that needs explaining. Without that the article is worthless
>>16964857Well for starters qualia is plural, so it is understandable why the authors refrain from trying to conclude anything about their material cause.
>>16964858So they can't explain consciousness and it's just clickbait. No surprise there
