there are more big numbers than small numbers
the banana is great but the skin is greater
In mathematics, the set of all integers or real numbers is infinite, meaning there is no "biggest" number. While we can imagine larger numbers like a googolplex, there are an infinite amount of numbers between 0 and 1, as well as an infinite amount of large numbers. Therefore, technically, neither set is larger; they are both countably infinite. But mathematics is only a skin deep pseudoscience.
>>16968752its a hollow victory
>>16968756ok, let's say you think 100 is the biggest number. There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1, then 1 and 2, etc up until 100.But then there are more infinite numbers between 100 and 101, 101 and 102, etc therefore there are more bigger numbers than smaller numbers. >>16968752Touching the skin of a banana is really disgusting. I saw a video about all the chemicals that go on it, it wasn't even a video I truly believed, but since that day I don't want to touch banana's skin. The irony is that I eat tomatoes without peeling them which is much worse and more disgusting. Maybe this is why I don't understand infinity
Lust inducing image. Irrelevant, time wasting question.
>>16968745Accurate because there are more transfinite ordinals (big numbers) than natural numbers (small numbers)
>>16968745Ok then. List an infinite amount of big numbers.Oh no! It can fit in perfect correspondence with this infinite list of small numbers (generated by taking root 2 to the next nonzero digit at each step) and therefore they have the same cardinality.Plus my list of small numbers didn't include 7. So small numbers are bigger by infinity + 1.
>>16968745Would you say that the number of big numbers is bigger than all the numbers of small numbers combined into a single big number?
