which interpretation of quantum mechanics do you prescribe to?
many worlds has the least amount of logical leaps and weird assumptions by far, which is a terrifying thought if you sit on it for too long. I don't want it to be true because multiverse shit is gay but mathematically it makes the most sense and gets rid of almost all the weirdness of quantum, and from a god's eye view gives you a perfectly rational deterministic universe. You just have to accept the whole infinitely splitting reality concept but if you do everything else lines up perfectly.
Probably doesn't mean there is an electron there. It's a cloud that metamorphoses into shape.

>>16968993None of them, they are just interpretations. Many Worlds is nonsense though since it doesn't even adhere to the postulates it's trying to explain.
>>16969005>concedesok
>>16968993Relational
>>16969005disagree. if in order to make many worlds work you have to postulate some strange metaphysics about many worlds then thats about as bad as any assumption any other interpretation has to make
Quantum Bayesianism
>>16970665I didn't expect as based an answer in this thread.
>>16969005Hugh Everett's many worlds has nothing to do with multiverse. Read his thesis. It has everything to do with psycho physical parallelism.
>>16968993Pilot wave, everything else is pseud nonsense.
>>16968993if you cannot use the schroedinger equation in spherical coordinates to derive these wave functions for an electron in a hydrogen atom then i do not give one flying fuck what your opinion on quantum mechanics is
>>16971699I use ladder operators and cite away integrals, and say pilot waves are bs
