Thoughts on picrel? I think this is genuinely one of my favorite books. While it might sound like "I f*cking love science!" book (especially since Vsauce borrowed a lot from it in his earlier videos and some of its content such as liquid glass got into mainstream) it is actually quite sober. It describes how we know what we know, how little we know and how what we know isnt set in stone.
I could never trust someone who would voluntarily move from the us to the uk
>>16969620It's a pretty shitty book in the sense that it isn't teaching anything different from what people might get out of their school overview classes on various topics. Good books should be challenging the reader in some way and this pretty much challenges nobody.
>>16969671So you're saying Bryson caused the collapse of public schooling such that his book is actually full of useful information for the average American, what a devious plan.
