Why aren't we producing our own hydrogen!?

You get an element that can be stimulated to release alpha particles, hit it with a neutron beam inside a simple moderator like water, the alpha particles make hydrogen that form bubbles in the water, and the hydrogen literally bubbles off of the reaction.

This wouldn't even take much electricity. The physics does all the work for you!
