I think will to live might play a big part. it seems like often someone gives up shortly before they die. which is understandable in a lot of cases if youre in constant pain, you don't look forward to continuing like that forever. then there's the fact that once you get really old, you reach a point where you watch all your friends die, your lover. its depressing to think most people you cared about are gone.
in the bible God made a rule that no one would live past 120. and oddly enough it seems to work just like that, you will see some 119 year old on the news and then they die year later and are replaced by the next oldest person. strange that people who wrote that 2 thousand years ago when life spans were supposed to be shorter were accurate on this. or maybe they did have people occasionally reach that age back then?

I hope one day we can cure all cancer and disease and stop aging so people don't just die from existing too long. I don't want the people I love to ever die.

Why are such a large amount of the longest living people japanese and french? What are they doing right over there?

You are free to quote the bible passage if you think that, bonus points with unit conversion-
Realistically 130 is 2x normal human lifespan as well, which is a very similar crop.

Intentionally managed to keep the tradition of biking longer than most Euro states post WW2. So healthier living.
Its going to return to normal once the car centric generation reaches pension age in another 10-30 years.

What the fuck

> Jeanne Calment, who lived to a record 122 years and 164 days, credited her longevity to a diet rich in olive oil, laughter, a relaxed attitude, and a high consumption of chocolate, sometimes eating nearly 1 kg (over 2 lbs) per week. She died in 1997 and remains the oldest verified person in history.
