If you can only think like this, that you are superior to 'Reddit science people', because you can't intuitively receive the way this perspective shows that we aren't in some physically important position in some center of reality made for us, and for the Earth is not some designated stage for all that could matter. The point is not that our physical size means that love, honor and suffering mean nothing somehow, but that we occupy a single precarious position in a much vaster universe, and hence there's little reason to think things couldn't have been been otherwise, or that the Earth won't pass on while everything else keeps going.
