Reading Viktor's page is depressing. I was also born a sickly child, though with a weak heart and persistent palpitations. I was forced to be indoors and never got to play with other kids, and so had a great deal of time learn. I began programming at nine, eventually making small games by twelve. Still, I was no prodigy, and not having ever gone to school, I did little more than dabble in small projects. At some point I gave up. I will of course never be a machine god, or an engineer, or anything for that matter. I have never had a friend in all my life. In my depression, I gave it all up, I stopped learning, and an entire decade passed since I stopped trying at seventeen.It is too late to try again.Hope you find what you're looking for anyway. I often wonder what life could have been.
