>>34412497Gentlemen.I'm a self-taught 31M that's been learning web development (Javascript, CSS, HTML, Node.JS, React, etc.) for a little over the past 2 years via a number of online resources. I also have some familiarity with Python, and am obviously familiar with Git/GitHub. My question for you all is this: do you think it's possible nowadays for someone like me to successfully break into web development, or the technology field in general without a computer science degree? Can it be done? Can I do it, even?

>>34420523>Can it be done?Anything can be done as long as you're in the right place at the right time.>Can I do it, even? Most likely not software development, not as you are now. Your skills are too low. The market is currently swamped with people, so without the CS degree that everyone else has, you won't even get past HR. Also, I believe specializing in only web development is dead (or only back end, etc). You should be able to do do everything, including: front end, back end, and database at a minimum. Also, the current interviewing fad is still asking leet code problems (leetcode.com), so if you've never done them before, you'll need to start practicing them for a while since no one is good at that sort of thing if they've never done it before. That alone will save you from a very demoralizing first interview experience if you ever get one.>tech field in generalYeah probably. Most people in tech as a whole don't know shit, let alone programming, so being able to program actually puts you ahead of them. Those jobs won't be dev jobs though, so you'll be unlikely to do much if any actual programming work in them.
>>34420523Sure why not? If you don't have a degree to speak for your skills then you just have to get some other form of proof like projects, certs etcJust know that "self tought" can range from a script kiddie to an actual expertLook for a speciality and become unbeatable in it. And some unknown public sources won't be enough for that I'm afraid

Hey /soc/ 24 M usa here, looking for an online sort of penpal/jerkbuddy and longterm friend. I am looking for that ideal click of an engaging person to chat with regularly about life, our interests and ofcourse porn. Ideally you'll want to really enable my porn addiction haha.>>About MeI currently work in the tech industry, from home most days, and I am into all things nerdy. Coding, computers, anime, vidya, shows all of it. I am a pretty short guy at 5'5, a bit chubby and out of shape unfortunately and featuring a small 4 inch shrimp dick. I have a crippling lust for big booty women, tight clothes on girls, and white women in general. Watching women dance makes me weak, and I love SPH and JOI ofcourse! I also have been kinda wanting to get more into hentai lately hence the pic related.>>About YouIdeally be older than me, interested in mentoring me, and if you're a guy, very very hung. I am also happily open to talking to women, no nudes needed! Please be engaging and talk about your interests, both sexual and not. Looking for people who are able to keep conversations and speak english and that are ideally in EST or something close to it. Also not looking for someone for IRL meetups, not my thing. I also am currently unable to vc or cam with my current living situation. If anything about this clicked your interested please hit me up and say hi! Discord: lilbrim
