You do not need to abandon that which is part our humanity, that can frame what is natural in a negative way. The importance that you place upon it simply diminishes as you begin to attain a higher sense of self. Buddhism has many seemingly paradoxical ideas that only make sense once you've awakened to your nature as observer. How can one love if you must let go of worldly attachments? Does Buddhism mean becoming a husk of a person that desires nothing? When you realize the "Self" is a fluid construct, the things the "Self" used to obsess over (status, physical beauty, ownership, sexual desires) naturally lose their grip. You don't force yourself to stop caring; you simply "outgrow" the intensity of the cravings.

Meditating is based, helps me conk me back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night, and clear my head during the day.
Also the qualitative improvement in one's peace of mind when not shaken up by romantic feelings is nothing to scoff at.

Kekked and checked however.

How do you do that? Do you have to sit and meditate until you realize it?
