Nowadays, I see that Argentinian are indeed assholes, but not as bad as I thought of previously, and because of players like Riquelme, Di Maria and Messi I kinda grew to respect them a bit.>Was it better before or after it?I don't know if it's pure nostalgia or not, but I preferred sports before the internet. Every important match was an event, during World Cup everyone in the block would donate money so we could buy paint and paint the whole block green and yellow, we would also watch games in bars and restaurants together for free. I'm sure that it still happens nowadays, but I feel like it's something that only the most avid sports fan do, and not everyone like we used to. My grandma used to say sports addiction was a thing of the devil, but she was the first one to ask where we were gonna watch the World Cup matches kek

My perception of sport in particular didn't change, I don't think. However, I wasn't really into sport at all in the pre-Internet days. I think my family got our first proper modern home computer in 1998, and by pure coincidence, that was also the year I found out we had a local team in the sixth tier of English football and I didn't have to support Man Utd any more. But like I say, that was just a coincidence.
