>Bournemouth and Sunderland in the Europa League
What has happened to my beautiful European competition?
>>
At least you know a continental will win it this time.
>>
The teams that deserve to qualify qualified? What else did you want?

>Europa League
Tinpot competition. No one gives af.
>>

>>

>>
>>154828935

That's the Power of the Pyramid baby
>>
>>154828935
Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille will enjoy trips to Sunderland
>>
>>154829341
Why do you guys suck off your pyramid so hard? Do you think you're the only ones who have something like that? I don't get it. You're the only guys mentioning your pyramid all the time, no matter the exact topic
>>154828935
Bournemouth feels a bit nasty, but as a traditionalist, there's no real argument against Sunderland, I guess. They both played a good season, so these spots are deserved. Fair chance both of them make a pretty deep run at least as well
>>
>>154832405
England is the only country that actually distributes the wealth properly down the pyramid. That's why we have teams that can actually challenge the historically big clubs and overtake them in the table.
>>
>>154828935
I understand Bournemouth, it's a gay little town, with a gay little stadium
Sunderland is a legit club tho, from a proper city, with proper pashunate fanbase, and a 40k stadium
>>
Who cares!? TORREENSE IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE CARALHO!!!!
>>
>>154832497
>distributes the wealth properly down the pyramid
Isn't there a gargantuan financial gap between the Premier League and the EFL Championship?
>>
People on this board seem to have a real problem with merit being more important than instagram follower counts.
>>
>he doesn't catalufos has 13 division tier and in that division there are 22 groups with 20 teams in each group, and that only in Barcelona.
>>
>>154828935
>Send strong teams, people complain
>Send shitters, people complain
No pleasing some folk
>>
>>154833146
Brighton in the Conference League too
>>
How do you even fix the Europa league? When UCL shitters dropped down it was a more competitive tournament but because of that it both devalued the UCL and it rewarded said UCL shitters. Now it's a tinpot competition where the English teams are perpetual favorites and other league entrants don't really have a chance.
>>
>>154832670
there is no merit to europa league what are you on about lol. a shit engliah team will win it every year from 2 years ago
>>
>>154832405
We're the only ones who don't have to fill it up with B-teams
>>
>>154832528
Also has a surprisingly international fanbase, not due to appealing to foreigners but just due to Sunderlanders being the modern day diaspora jews
>>
>>154832405
pro rel is the coolest shit about soccer imo
if you cant take the heat get the fuck out the kitchen
>>
>>154832405
sounds like pyramid envy to me
>>
>>154846138
The EL isn't for American gloryhunters. You can just not watch it.
>>
>sunderland may be playing on pic related

Such a lie, Top half of PL are monsters financially compared to the rest.

Germany's league Pyramid seems more normally distributed
>>
more like the ENGLISHA League
>>
>>154828935
They will probably make it to the quarterfinals at the very least, they have insane budget compared to most clubs there. Kind of sucks, but it is what it is
Maybe someday, >my club will get to give it a try again as well …
>>154847570
Our distribution is alright, but apart from there definitely barely being enough for the third tier, they could definitely tweak the details a bit
The first one getting like 2.5 as much as the last one is barely tolerable, it could be a bit more balanced. The good thing is that the step between the first two tiers is much more manageable. They should also value viewer interest and talent development a bit more

You get 9 Champions League worthy clubs next year
>>

Yes, because of european football money and exposure.
If Sunderland string together a few seasons of european football then they'll be as rich as any of them.
