>The athletes who are openly juicing at the Enhanced Games are often using blatant, high-dose, or older-generation compounds (like heavy testosterone cycles or standard HGH) because they are legally allowed to do so. This is "dumb doping"—it focuses on raw mass and power, but can often cause water retention, cardiac strain, and poor endurance optimization. An Olympic-level athlete secretly doping uses "smart doping":Highly tailored micro-doses that peak and clear the system within hours.Autologous blood transfusions (re-infusing their own stored, oxygen-rich blood), which cannot be detected by basic hormone screens.Designer molecules customized for specific athletic thresholds.A top-tier athlete using "smart" hidden doping will easily out-perform a lower-tier athlete using "dumb" open doping. They can then cross the finish line and pretend it was their natural genetic superiority that won the day.

>>
>>154845698
Athletics competitions typically pay fuck all, theyre paying out life-changing money for top 2 and a tidy sum for even turning up. Its to entice more athletes to join and shit on the olympics
>>
I think what this event shows is that genetics is king, and no amount of drugs is going to change that.

For example, almost nobody on earth (maybe noone) could ever beat Usains record, even with a lifetime of limitless gear. Of course obviously because Usain was a drugs cheat as well, but what would Usain have run being clean? Surely in the 9.8s? Genetics is king.

It's like that icarus documentary where he took roids and couldn't have even been a domestique with his performance.

I think professional sports begins with the most ELITE genetics, to where 99/100 people could never match their natty with a lifetime of gear. And then probably 50% or something of those genetic freaks skirt the rules or cheat the tests to get a minor edge.

This is what clavicular etc are going on about -> genetics is king. It's all luck of genetics.

Or put it this way -> they can give you All the Adderall and meth and whatever else and train you and coach you for years, guess what your dumb ass will get smoked in chess everytime by some 8 year old Norwegian kid. It's over for drugs cheats. I think what happens is drugs onky really work at the VERY highest levels of competition where a 1-5% difference in performance between genetic elite freaks is the difference between 1st and 6th

Or look at cycling. Tadej is obviously juiced to the fucking gills. But without juice what would he be? Surely he'd be more than a domestique and actually place decently. These guys are just freaks. A little chemical tweak here and there puts them in champion territory, against the other freaks probably doing the same shit

Or you watch the sub 2 marathons recently? Thise guys (Kenyans.. of course) are obviously doped to the fucking gills. But I believe they'd still be in serious contention without it. Top 20 Surely?

Or you ever watch the Karl jobst faggot on esport cheating? It's not the losers that generally cheat. It's like the elite that push the boundaries to get slightly better.

Yes, but not in a way that benefited performance. These 'protocols' are babbies first cycle, literally making their athletes bulkier instead of faster, when doping is super sophisticated and absolutely optimised for the respective discipline.

That's literally my point. Apparently epo only gives people a max 5% increase, and that's in distance where it really matters.

In something like a 10 second sprint how much can doping REALLY improve someone? 1%? 5%? Apparently most of the improvement comes from recovery from training. Elite sports is just elite genetics (+ maybe a little bit of drugs for a tiny 1-5% edge).

We are talking about WR and competitions between the top 0.1% pushing the absolute limit.
I agree that all elite athletes are elite due to their genetics and I cannot dope myself to be competitive with them, that was part one of my sentence.
I highly doubt that top athletes would perform at 99% clean, considering that having elite response to doping is part of what makes an elite athlete these days.
Think of it this way – if everyone was clean, the same people would probably still win. But thinking their clean performances would be anywhere close to what they do now is insane.

Which I don't. Maybe with equal opportunity and optimised training for every single person in the world there may be some champions that go overlooked now because they are from the one country that doesn't have the tech, but that's irrelevant. If you don't have the doping tech, then you don't have the training methods or money to compete at the top level no matter what.

>>154846019
this is why i specified "in a given sport". for example, the US utterly dominated olympic weightlifting prior to the introduction of PEDs. then it was dominated by the USSR and china. in 2024, we had our first men's medalist in 40 years and our second gold medalist in 66 years. do you really think this once-dominant country simply had a total dearth of world-class talent for half a century that just 'suddenly' resumed, or do you think something else was maybe going on, like a gap in doping between wealthy, competitive countries that got closed?
>>
>>154846079
honestly I'd put that more as a "we got all this shit might as well try to make a little bit of money off it" thing. Much like Bryan Johnson, I seriously doubt this is super profitable considering all the information you might be interested in is being given away for free

Of course, im sure that if it becomes a self sustaining business they're not going to complain, but they're not hopping into this looking for gigaprofits
>>
>>154846090
Fair enough. You're right, and your examples are fantastic. It's the same for things like the super suit and technological or training advancement, someone has an advantage and then the field catches up. The only thing I disagree with is the 'wealthy' part, but that's nitpicking. Kenyan runners and Soviet weightlifters being on systematic doping programs is public knowledge.

Only very minor stylistic/grammar points:

* “due to all the drug busts” more natural as “due to the number of drug busts”
* “having their top athletes compete in this” slightly awkward construction. Better:

* “having their top athletes compete there”
* or “sending their top athletes to compete”

Everything else is grammatically fine.

Only Gkolomeev in the 50 free. Having a suit makes it even less impressive though. I hope to god that Cam McEvoy does a swim in one of those suits just to BTFO the games once more.

usa tech bros already spliced a human brain into a car and created the car-human hybrid in the 80s. it was banned sadly after it did the 100m in 2 seconds and had to turn to a life of crimefighting to make ends meet

>prior to the introduction of PEDs
How naive and uninformed you are. Steroids have been used in the USA since the end of WW2 where many bodybuilders were also strength athletes, thanks to Bob Hoffman. Frank Doisy (or should I say Dose-y.), american endocrinologist, isolated some anabolic hormones, progesterone, estradiol and testosterone in the 30s, and synthetic test was avaliable in the USA as early as 1935, all for enjoyment of american sportsmen and actors. Test-e, the thing that's (still) being shilled by EG has been on the market since 1957.

Read about John Ziegler and Ciba Pharmaceuticals. All, and I mean all, American athletes were on dbol in the 60s and some have been on the juice as early as 1948, especially weightlifters like Davis and Schemansky. Ziegler then went on to sell (wink wink) the secret about dbol to the Soviets in 1954 and they have used it by the gram a week for decades before catching up on american designer drugs around the 80s.

The USA has ALWAYS been on top when it comes to PED research and use. SARMS, petptides, you name it. All american research. A drought in weightlifting medals is no argument for your country being clean, neither it is for others being better dopers. The gap has never been closed, it just so happens that for once, generational talent has shown up with Morris, Reeves, Nicholson, Ferguson and others, thanks to the increased interest in weigthlifting in the past decade, but don't worry, for all honest and clean they might proclaim themselves to be, they are without a doubt the athletes with the best "supplement" regimen on the planet. Talking about doping being something only wealthy countries can do, what a joke, it's not like the weightlifting field is ripe with athletes from Egypt, Bulgaria, Iran, Thaïland, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan... that set most of the records and win most of the medals.

the real truth is they were on better drugs while they were in the olympics. they had unlimited budget blood doping, state backed drug programs, now they have to use generic bodybuilding slop that anyone can get

I want to see if there actually is a better design for track and road shoes than world athletics allows. I find it hard to believe some 60mm stack shoe would work much better than a set of PRO EVO 3s but it would be fun.

I guess most gadget friendly sports would be shit like ice skating/biking etc where it actually is a big part of the time.

Reminder: This event is run to try to sell PEDS and other enhancement drugs to everyday people. That's why they put so much money in it.
And that's why them not breaking WR's makes it a failure. If they were breaking them, expect a bunch of
>Buy our™ PED's, look how safe it is. Nobody who competed died (yet), just got faster.
Whats funnier is some of these guys who are doping are slower than:
A: Kids below the age of 16 and likely not doping
B: Their own PB's. The fact they can't even break their own PB's either means they were doping to set the PB or that PED's and doping don't suddenly turn you into some sort of super beast.
That being said, this event can only die from its owners getting bored. They pay dub money that most of these guys will never earn in a lifetime.
>>
>>154845715
You can't compare yet. This was the starting point of this type of event. Once it is more established and more money and recognition in it you will see a raise in quality. Was there even one personal record that was on par with the world record? Doping needs experience as well
>>
>>154845515

I didn’t see this because it was in the middle of the night, but the Killers have that “I’m the man” song which would be perfect for an event like this.
>>
>>154852930
They’re overrated, sure, but their songs almost never have choruses and that alone makes them more interesting than average. The worst indie band of the 21st century was the Fratellis.

My favourite bands are all obscure and a bad fit for this event (the Delays, the Ghosts) but I still expect that one day in the future, people will realise that Muse were the GOAT famous band this century.
>>
>>154853088
based muse appreciator

>>154845515
Fuck dos this guys expected? Top athletes in their disciplines are there for a reason, if You are not up to that level of skill drugs won't magically make You better, You got to git gud first, like if You came second by a small margin THEN performance enhancing drugs can give You an edge to come first, but if You are not top 10 in your field already it's Dumb to think You are gonna break records, also is not like a lot of top athletes arent already secretly juicing
>>
USA has dozens of guys running in the 10.1s 100m range who must be tempted by that $250,000. Most of them will never make an olympic squad.
