Prem is very competitve these days. Smaller teams pose an enormous threat to bigger teams. Bournemouth beating arsenal and getting a draw against city for example. Or wolves a relegated side beating liverpool and drawing against arsenal and united. Matches are way more competitive these days. Naturally we won't see 90+ points all that often with the way things are going. 85 points is a good tally.

That conveniently misses the season where Man U won the title with 75 points.

I was doing some analysis on how to PSG. And yet I am stumped because PSG thrives on chaos. Inter always play a disciplined defensive team like us and when they had a lack of concentration or out of shape Kvara and Dembele pounced. Chelsea play that similar nature to PSG except when they thrive on chaos they dont have much success and they won at that meme tournament.

Either we adjust and follow the Chelsea book on how they did it. Let Saka and Odegaard dictate play and let Saka be a cutback ngubu or we haramball like always
>>
>>154861311
Just throw Calafiori in there somewhere. Chaos will come naturally.
>>
>>154861311
There were a few videos on enrique and particularly how he sets up PSG. Can't find the best one which is irritating. As you say, it's chaos, dragging players away, fluid movement and quick passes. I think it's got to be terrorball. It's worked well, the defence is very solid. Gyokeres does a great job as the deep lying forward when they're playing terrorball. Whenever they open up and go more attacking like against palace and fulham, they really lack the clinical finishing because everyone other than gyokeres can't convert chances efficiently, and he's always heavily marked and nullified. They have to play for counters and set pieces.

On the flip side I would be totally unsurprised if they went out and played fluid attacking football. They did that to beyer and it worked really, really well. They did it with city to an extent and if havertz wasn't garbage at sticking the ball in the net, they'd have drawn bare minimum. The amount of chances missed that game was criminal, arsenal were the better side and created far better quality opportunities.

People are writing off Zubimendi too early. He was solid in the first half of the season, and while he has dropped off recently he has played every single PL match without being rotated for most of it, so it's understandable that he's fatigued. For whatever reason, Arteta refused to trust Norgaard and only started trusting MLS in the last few games of the season. If he's willing to rotate more next season then I think our midfield situation is fine. I'd much rather spend big money on a LW or el bencho instead of another central midfielder.
>>
>>154861425
If its terrorball we better hope Dembele or Kvara has a bad day in the office. I'm scared of just thinking Cala, Piero or Blanco trying to defend or sprinting back to catch them

>>154861517
Tonali is a good shout because he's available. He's solid. High work rate, physical, plays a lot of progressive passes, dribbles well. 26 so a good few years left in him. Partner with rice would be really good. Then they've got way too many in midfield and MLS is cucked so it's unlikely to happen, maybe for the better. MLS needs more time, already I saw a few games where zubi upped his game because MLS was in the team, whether that's rest or competition to keep position. Would love to see how Tonali does at arsenal though, I think that would be a great signing.
>>
is dembele still injured? surely not
>>
>>154861570
A big part of his game is cutting in and taking a shot, which more often than not goes in. You've got to prevent the shot in the first place of course but I can see rice dropping in to block the far post so the defenders don't get dragged away from position. Sit just in the edge of the box to block, like a half back. Problem then is you can't allow sustained pressure because it gets messy as you've allocated too much onto one player, but then look at Saka this season. Often defenders double up on him and the right hand side is closed down entirely because he can't get anywhere and can't lay of passes consistently that exploits the player being dragged from position. It has happened, but nowhere near as often as it could have been. That's partially why he's been shit, he's been effectively countered all season and arsenal have no counter.

Dunno. He's in that similar mid-20s age bracket as Rice and Zubi. I feel the next stage of the project will be recruiting more youthful prospects again since success has been achieved and last summer was the "go and buy complete/experienced players to get across the line" transfer window.

>>154861673
I still think >we need to find a new role/position for him, but it's nice that someone burdened with the superstar tag as a young teenager has managed to come good at Arsenal. He's also one of the earlier members of the Arteta project, so I'm glad he has got this reward. Hopefully next season, without the World Cup to worry about, he'll push himself more and be closer to his best.

>>
>>154862015
Depends how the UCL goes. I think MLS really needs to get a solid chance in midfield, he showed a lot of promise in his last games. I thought he was 21 for some reason, he's 19. He is the project for the midfield, and he's fully bought into the arsenal mentality. Seems like a perfect fit for the long run. Other positions need first team players though, LW needs someone consistent. Need a back up right back, probably good for a project player there. Striker I think is fine with gyokeres, they can do more to play to his strengths. And I can't imagine a better player in the role he currently plays as a DLF, maybe haaland. He's got the strength, speed, stamina for pressing and finishing. Shows up for the tap ins. He's perfect, it's just he's not got a chance to be a poacher or a fox in the box, maybe against spurs when they left him too much space. Really they just need a world class LW and a back up in RB assuming white is getting binned. Shame for white but whatever. He's got a medal, he lifted the trophy.

>>154862015
>we need to find a new role/position for him
Hopefully the team opens up next season and plays with confidence instead of desperation, it's been hard to watch this season. Fulham was a good game, so was palace bar the jesus disasterclass. If they play flowing positive football with a new LW I'm sure it'll feel like the team signed another 5 players because suddenly the other side of their game is actually in show. Quick fluid counters, more direct passing and movement around the box, a few more long shots. Shame that most opponents play a low block against arsenal.

PSG are super-astroturfed fake shit from the 1970s, and Paris is a city run by nafris and blacks. The other people there are either other immigrants or shameless cosmopolitan bandwagoners tolerating the rest of the rabble. It is no surprise that they are incapable of soulfulness and instead define fan culture as rioting regardless of the result
A warning sign to the rest of Europe, which is on that slope as well. In football and beyond. However, they are the favorites
>>
>>154862119
I worry the club may cash in on MLS. Or maybe it'll be Ethan now, who knows? Would love for them both to stay a few more years, to see how they develop, but that "pure profit" BS means it might not be likely. And an elite LW is a must. Would probably be a real tonic to >our attack. Shit, even just a consistently good LW would probably be an upgrade given how unpredictable both Tross and little Gabi are.
