>rooting for other clubs from your country just to say your league is better than other countries
Do yuros really
I want all clubs on my country to never win except for the one I support
>>
>>154883071
Yeah it's weird as fuck but what so you expect from /int/cel tourists, half of them don't even watch the sport and I'm probably being generous
>>
>>154883071
Palace fan here.

I was/am rooting for in each competition

>Europa: Villa
Cause they're an alright club with decent fans and it's nice to see them back on top after years of decline.

>Conference: Palace
Obviously.

>Champions: PSG
Don't like them but I fucking despise Arseanal.

I also cheer against Liverpool, Man Utd and Chelsea whenever they're in finals.

>I want all clubs on my country to never win except for the one I support
based honestly
>>
>>154883071
i'm just anyone but sky 6 and palace winning serves this greater purpose more than rayo vallecano winning does
>>
>>154883071
I dont have a local team, so..
>>
>>154883071
amerigoys do it in hockey too. id rather watch an american team win for the rest of my life than watch >my teams rival win even once. plastic af.
>>
>>154883071
>>154883744
>>154883331
you're even worse off, hated europeans/americans cuck your players from you and you root for the teams who cucked you
>>
I guarantee fans of every other top 6 English club wants Arsenal to choke the final.
>>
>>154883071

No. For some reason the English are so utterly sad about being irrelevant in international footy that they started caring about this shit but its only them desu
>>
>>154883980
it's a spanish tradition though?
they all live vicariously through halal and farcealona
to some degree the same with germans and bayern

We have that too in the Netherlands, but that is mainly out of the best interest of the league and the coefficient ranking. If one club performs badly, it will hurt the general rankings and lessen the amount of European spots we get.
>>
it is really weird, I can sort of understand it for small countries that rarely perform at european stage so apart from the biggest club rivals most people will support the domestic club, but they wouldn't claim it as some shared victory anyway
so I cannot see why for example a liverpool fan would say "we won" when crystal palace gets a trophy
it will be most probably just this >>154883113

To be fair I dont want anyone to win. I hate everyone more than I hate MY shitters but those fucking shitters need to be way better for me to actually want them to win. I have standards you know?
>>
>>154883071
I assume its people trolling. Idgaf who wins these unless its my club.
>>
>>154883071
I do this
My team has never played in Europe tho
>>
it was really absurd to me to be in Italy, going to a series A game and hearing like 70% of the stadium join in chanting JUVE MERDA VAFANCULO and then seeing them all flood in to bars during CL rooting for juve
>>
>>154883113
>half of them don't even watch the sport and I'm probably being generous
This is why /sp/ during major international tournaments usually sucks
>>
>>154883744
I'd say "go back" but I think I'd still rather see any American team besides the Knights win the Stan Lee over the fucking Flames. Most of the rest of Canada I'd be supportive of in the playoffs though
>>
Congrats on getting worked up over which foreigners score for you city's team or whatever. The team and coach you liked even just ten years ago has absolutely nothing to do with that team today other than it's name. Literal dumbest goy alive award for all of you who are passionate about modern team bullshit lmao.

you're not on /pol/ anymore, Dorothy

>rooting for other clubs from your country just to say your league is better than other countries You will never ever in your life ever see Partizan fans supporting Red Star in UCL/UEL/UECL quite the opposite. For example here rapid fans went into stands for the opposing team of Steaua in Europa League. unless you are casual but casuals are normgroid tier and need to be behaded

There are plenty of clubs I hate and want to see lose all the time. But there are some that I at least don’t really mind. They don’t have to win titles because that would make my club look worse, but I can live with them doing well and ensuring that our league has a good coefficient. If it doesn’t, chances of my club playing European football go down as well and everyone gets less money in comparison to the rest of Europe. So I don’t feel like going all out on the hatewatch

For example: I hate RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim so much, fuck them. Stuttgart and Frankfurt on the other hand are respectable. I want to beat them when they play >us, but there’s no reason for me to support some foreign literal who club against them. Or a shittily run behemoth with unlimited money. But I won’t fangirl either
Dortmund are annoying me, they are massive fags and chokers. I see it as a contractual obligation that they at least don’t embarrass our league by choking too hard, but once that’s achieved: off you go
>>
>>154883071
I support only the teams that share my language and are closer to my identity so in Spain my team is obviously Barça but I support Espanyol, Girona, Valencia, Levante, Villareal and Mallorca in europe or in the Liga matches that aren't against Barça. I would also support those teams in southern france over the ones in the north.

>>154886715
Did you check if they were the same people right?
>>
>>154883071
you only dislike your rivals, if it's a happy story of a team I have no beef with why would I wish them ill?
>>
>>154883071
honestly it depends on which team plays, if a small BR team like Mirrasol end up playing against Boca, i would definitely supports them because it would be kino and unexpected
>>
> >rooting for other clubs from your country just to say your league is better than other countries
Thats funny cause Canadians do this too with their national sport (hockey) in which they're trash at now. They root for American teams that are most Canadian to cope with their teams being so trash

Kwabs

>my team is obviously Barça but I support Espanyol...
>>
>>154883071
hypothetically speaking, if a US team were to play in some sort of international tournament I would cheer for them despite not representing my state or city. However I don’t really watch Soccer so I wouldn’t have the emotional attachment I guess.
>>
>>154894925
I have family supporting them, I don't want them to be sad. Espanyol is no threat to Barça so there's no problem, it's not like Espanyol is going to eliminate us from Champions or anything.
>>
>>154883071
Engerlund fans are the most childish retarded knuckle dragging low iq people walking the face of the earth.
You do come across a few people that say they do enjoy seeing english teams winning in Europe. But it’s mostly older people now.
Old people are good and when they die the country should die with them.
Club football has taken over to the point where they goyim care more for their club team than national ball, and you could say nationality altogether.
