>Early 2010s Barcelona would be demolished 10-0 by the top sides of today, yes even by Arteta's arsenal
>>
LMAO the top 2000 - 2010 sides would wreck every team of this doomed depression era
>>
>>154946946
Sorry Luigi but modern diet and fitness coaching has come a long way from beer and a pizza the night before a match (even if it is Neapolitan and not deep pan).
>>
Arteta's Arsenal would finish mid tables in 2010 Premier League, so I don't know what you're on about OP.
>>
>>154946923
They ruled during a dark age of football but they wouldn't be demolished by a lazy Arsenal
>>
>>154946972
how do i eat like a footballer?
>>
>>154946972
And thats the reason why football has become completely pussyfied and weak. 90s and 2000s teams would wreck these faggots nowadays
>>
>>154946923
>This is what Arsenal's customers actually believe
>>
>>154946923
Hard agree
>>
>it's another zoomer coping about missing out on the best era of football episode
Enjoy your VAR slop and "elite" talents like Dembele and Vini Jr. lmao
>>
>>154946923
all it would take is a single Iniesta weave into an assist for Villa and Arsenal would crumble to dust since they'd have to actually attack
>>
>>154946923
Nah that's going too far.

>sitting back and giving prime Barca 100% possession while you have no pace or quality to hit them on a counter
Lol Arsenal would get embarrassed more than the Arsenal team of that era did

Anyone remember this molestation? I recall the commentator laughing when Messi got the ball and went past 4 arsenal players in the middle of the pitch, just for fun

How about this for fucking molestation you absolute cunt.
>Vidal boadting that Barca would beat Bayern easily pre match
Lol, lmao even!
>>
>>154946923
Hard disagree. I hated tika taka but atleast they always kept the ball moving and in around the box short and fast passes whereas now tems just keep the ball for the sake of it with slow passes and walk about.

You can always trust that if Americans are missing, Brits will always come in with the worst football takes themselves.

ok here's a truth nuke: football is currently in its worst ever state.
1. Players are openly admitted mercenaries who don't give a shit about their teams (see: Newcastle players defending Isak when he intentionally stopped playing to force a move)
2. There are about 7 clubs who can realistically win the UCL in any given year and everyone else is a feeder to them
3. English teams have orders of magnitude more money than anyone else, which massively skews competition. The top 2nd division clubs have similar wage bills to Champions league teams from Germany. Salford city could have a decent run at the Conference league
4. Players have to play too many games for their clubs, resulting in more injuries and them not giving a flying fuck about international games
5. Practically every single team plays the same now since stats nerds have decided what is optimal and what isn't. Nobody plays long shots, nobody plays short corners, nobody plays two strikers, etc.
6. Individual technical brilliance is coached out of kids at an early age since it's sub-optimal or some shit. We will never see another Ronaldinho.
7. The euros and world cup have been raped by the greedy cunts at UEFA and FIFA, resulting in worse quality and a diluted format which nobody gives a shit about until the semifinals
8. Club owners who don't give a shit about football are desperate to americanize everything by playing league games abroad, removing season tickets, subduing stadium atmosphere, making tickets cost so much that only rich foreign tourists enter the stadium etc.

>>154947778
He's right. This Arsenal would get absolutely demolished by Pep Barca

France 2018 and Belgium 2018 would demolish 99% of national teams ever

Just watch games from the 60s until 2006 and see how slow everything is, the game evolved a lot and the great teams of the 80s, 90s and early 2000s would get embarrassed by modern players and tactics
>>
>>154946923
Well, yes, because their tactic has long been figured out and countered.
This does not mean the top sides of today are better. One cannot judge past teams by the tactics they used because tactics are always being figured out and evolving.
>>
>>154948244
Also, you can't even say "The top sides of today would still demolish them if they used different tactics, so that means they suck compared to the top sides of today" because they were BUILT for the tactic they used. Yes, they'd get demolished even if they used different tactics. That doesn't mean they were inferior to today's top sides.
It's extremely difficult to compare teams from different eras because of how thoroughly tactics can be countered and neutered with the benefit of time and hindsight. You can really only judge teams, historically, based on how dominant they were relevant to their competition, given the tactical landscape of their time.
>>
>>154948151
1990 West Germany would shit all over either of those teams. Get real please.

Every player that has played under pep guardiola has taken performance enhancing drugs.

Spanish authorities’ investigations uncovered a shockingly wide doping network around Eufemiano Fuentes. The evidence implicated most of Europe’s leading cyclists, but people weren’t overly shocked at the confirmation of something that most suspected anyway. The most compelling evidence produced by Operacion Puerto suggested that it wasn’t just cyclists but footballers who were “treated” by Fuentes. This was of course around the time when Spanish teams and athletes had started to dominate their respective fields. Fuentes has admitted in the past he worked with Guardiola. He is also alleged to have said “If I would talk, the Spanish football team would be stripped of the 2010 World Cup”

With the nandrolone (an anabolic steroid) scandals of the early 2000s, where multiple bans were handed down to Guardiola. Guardiola was playing at Brescia at the time, where his club doctor was Ramon Segura – the same Segura who worked for Pep during his highly successful spell managing Barcelona.

3 doctors who worked with Lance Armstrong’s US Postal cycling team received lifetime bans from sport for providing athletes with EPO, blood transfusions andmasking agents. One of cycling’s most famous ‘doping doctors’, Luis del Moral is also working with Guardiola under the guise of “medical advisor”. FC Barcelona haven’t made a statement on del Moral’s ban, which prohibits him from working in any sport which has signed up to the WADA code of conduct. It would be interesting to hear why they employed del Moral and what his specific role was within the team

historically, Real Madrid have done more rigging than Barcelona, Juventus, Inter, Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich combined but everyone just kinda brushes it off
>>
>>154946972
That Barcelona team had better PEDs than anyone has today because they had the entire Spanish sporting authorities covering for them.
>>
>>154946923
they were already demolished by bayern in 2013

Don't forget Italy 1934 & 1938
