All able bodied people in Korea have to do 2 years of service in South Korea and if you are a footballer and doing military service you can join this team. This team however a decision was made that regardless of position in the K-League this year they have to be relegated. So even if they win the title they still need to relegated. That sucks

>>154968536There's also the added layer of it's what the Soviet System was and South Korea, more than almost any other country, is very against Communism. CSKA and Dynamo were the Army and Secret Police Teams in the Soviet League, and since all clubs were "amateur" in the Communist system, you got drafted into the military, sure you can stay there and get a comfortable job pushing buttons, or you can end up go and gut fish or shill coats for 8 hours a day 5 days a week. And that's why even today CSKA and Dynamo are traditionally the strongest clubs in larger former Soviet countries.
