Wc maddest moments
>no mention of FIFA and Qatar literally gifting a WC to Frionel Pissi Cucktini also knows as Riggi Riggitini
>>154999161Not a moment
NO ERA PENAL
>>154999166
>>154999106>No Escobar own goal
Brazil losing 7-1 should be first. That was the most surreal thing I've ever seen
>>154999106>No Disgrace of GijonThat incident actually impacted all future WC and arguably domestic leagues as well.
>>154999106what about pelel elbow?
>>154999106>No Brazil losing the final at home after being up most of the game and only needing a draw to be world champions1950 best year of my life
>>155000305kekbut seconded
>>1550003051950 shouldn't countthe final group stage is the stupidest idea they ever did
>>154999161Just because you meme it every day for the last 4 years does not mean that the not insane people thinks that is the case
>>155000305This. People died for that game. Also where is the Wembley Goal of 1966? It's a mich bigger deal than Lampard's non-goal of 2010.
>>155000305>first world cup after the war>maracanã was built for that wc>lose results in suicides, hate capmaign against the keeper and white jersey obliterated from brazil NT
>>154999106>no battle of Santiago>no Kuwaiti prince dragging his players off in protest>no disgrace of Gijon>an entire tournament classed as a moment
>>154999106Missing the Miracle of Belo Horizonte>The American team consisted of semi-professional players, most of whom had other jobs to support their families>One player, Ben McLaughlin, had to withdraw from the tournament because he could not get time off work>At the time, the English had a reputation as the "Kings of Football", with a post-war record of 23 wins, 4 losses, and 3 draws. They had beaten the Italians 4–0 and the Portuguese 10–0 in Lisbon two weeks before that>In comparison, the Americans had lost their last seven international matches (including the 1934 World Cup and 1948 Summer Olympics) by the combined score of 45–2>The English Daily Express newspaper wrote: "It would be fair to give the U.S. three goals of a start."
>>154999106>not even mentionning the collective suicides when Brazil choked at home to Uruguay
>>154999106>Suarez' goal-line handballThat was just smartI also think it's interesting that Germany's Torsten Frings DID THE SAME THING IN THE 2002 ROUND OF 8 and it went uncalled (and therefore never makes lists like this). The US would have been penalty kicks away from the semi-finals.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcUtl_ljPeg
>>154999300All after the whistle. Try again.
>>154999106Dibu's save in finals needs to be on there
>>155000413England's second goal of the final 1966 isn't considered "crazy" or controversial in England. No matter whether you thought it went in or not, it was a very tight decision at a time when the general standard of refereeing was abysmal. The 2010 goal, on the other hand, was about a yard over the line and happened relatively recently with goal-line technology readily available. FIFA changed the laws of the game because of it.
>>154999161globohomos brag about shitbappe's penalty hat trick in the final while simultaneously shitting on pissi for scoring too many penalties
There are people saying globo homo in the big 2020+6
there are people who are pozzed in the head in the current year
>>154999182i miss the cut inside man
>>155002470uh dutchsissies, care to explain?
>>154999300reminder the ref did litterly nothing leadin to an almost goal by pissi hand holding the ball to the gk area
>>155000243GOAT stuff.
>>155002470always hated this diving cunt
>>155002080I feel like you are making up enemies in your head to fight against.
>>155002062The thing is, the 2010 goal was ultimately not very important. The English team was ass, they ultimately likely would have been knocked out by Germany anyway and if they weren't they wouldn't have made it to the final. The wembley goal was a coinflip in the finale that would have decided the entire tournament. I'm not saying one should be on the list and the other shouldn't, but to not have the wembley goal seems a bit weird, seeing as it narratively contextualizes the 2010 goal. But that's probably just my German perspective, so, whatever.
>>154999161That was a whole not a moment
>>154999161moments, not tournaments
zidane headbutt was incredible I barely remember that world cup at all but that shit has forever been crystal clear in my memory
>>155003495I mean, it has been memed to death for a decade afterwards.
>>154999106This is from an American publication I can almost guarantee it
>>154999106>No Dos a Cero 2002
>>155002062>England's second goal of the final 1966 isn't considered "crazy" or controversial in England.Because it wasn't.You might be referring to the third English goal, which was supplemented with the fourth anyway.
>>154999106Wait, whats 7, I dont remember it?
>>155004052Graham Poll showed the same Croatian player three yellow cards in 2006, not realising he should have sent him off. He retired soon after.
>>155004083kek, was it a big scandal? i dont remember it at all, but i was like 14 then, i guess everything in 2006 got overshadowed by zidane's sperging
>>155004186the second yellow came in the 90th minute, so the player was only on the pitch illegally for a few minutes before being booked for a third time and send off. Croatia failed to progress from the group anyway. Australia probably didn't care enough to make it an issue because the 2-2 result suited them and they went through.
>>155003594This. It couldn't be American even if they tried. Also missing that I haven't seen posted here>Maradona tests positive for doping in 1994>Miracle of Bern>North Korea beats and eliminates Italy in 1966>Beckenbauer playing the final minutes and the whole extra time with a dislocated shoulder>South Korea refballing all their matches in 2002all of them more memorable than the player getting 3 yellows in a match, whixh is more a funny anecdote
>>155004697>South Korea refballing all their matches in 2002Legally that didn't happen so of course it's not going to be included
>>155003594Nah it's an anglo list. Why add crying englishman and roy kean and beckman
>>155004041The fourth was irregular too
>>155005157kino, I love Rivaldo
