The reason why this World Cup doesn’t have the hype as previous that nobody is talking about is that this new generation of global superstars don’t excite people as much as the previous generation. The players from the ‘Messi-Ronaldo Generation’ (Your Neymars, your Ramos, your Suarez, your Neuers and basically every big name from the 00’s-10’s) all had this “Larger Than Life” vibe that none of these new guys have no matter how good you think they are. Lamine may be more talented than Neymar at his age but he generates nowhere near as much hype as 18 year old Ney back in his day.Maybe is just nostalgia or maybe it’s just getting harder to amuse people in this Instant Gartification Era.
>>155009618I think social media and its constant access to their daily lives and retardation has removed much of the mythologizing and aura surrounding them.
>>155009618It's not about the players it's because football nowadays is concentrated around coaches like Gareth Bale says. You'll never see a joga bonito player ever again because no-one is allowed to think for themselves, everyone has to play according to strategy, everything is premeditated.
>>155009926Also this, most players were divas with low iqs
>>155009926Completely agree. Was thinking this the other day with mma fighters. And really, its celebrities in general. No one is larger than life anymore because we know every detail of their lives.
>>155009926Sshhh... Stop making good points in anon's rage bait thread.
>>155009926Trvke
>>155009618>Maybe is just nostalgia or maybe it’s just getting harder to amuse people in this Instant Gartification Era.There's more content available of ANYTHING, including football. There's barely any break where you can't watch football
>>155009618What I'm most curious about is where the Israeli falseflag attack is going to take place.
