Scotlands problem in football is that we don’t know who we are. We try tactics that the Germans and the Spanish use. We try to be technical. We try to obsess over “shape” and “vertical lines of attack”. And we aren’t good at it. We aren’t a technical side. Furthermore, we don’t believe that we can win games. The Scotland team in big games goes out in a negative mindset. It’s not “how can we win”, rather “how can we not lose”. It’s a fear of embarrassment. This leads to the worst combination. Pessimistic, hesitant players that try to do tactics they’re not cut out for. When this fails, we just sit back, which allows the opposition to dictate the game and eventually win, as once they score, we rarely come back. What Scotland needs is to realise that it isn’t Spain or Germany or Morocco. It’s Scotland. We don’t do beautiful football. A cup team mentality is what is needed. We have the players themselves for it. The world cup is not a league. It’s about winning, being scrappy, playing for the second ball, making defenders panic, being aggressive and brave, actually believing the old adage that it genuinely is all about who wants it more. Steve Clarke doesn’t have the fire to send these players to war however. So they will be cautious and pragmatic. I’m not hopeful.
>>155019076lad, they are at the World Cup. Qualified for it, and everything. That Denmark game was a thing of Actual Fucking Joy.Basically now, they need to beat Haiti to qualify. For the next round. A gang of voodoo niggers. Now cut the Man some slack. Christ knows, he (genuinely) deserves it.
>>155019076I believe in you
>>155019076Just play the William Wallace speech on every half time break and you're good
I just don't care about the World Cup after what they did to my Hearties.
>>155019136fpbpfor their first WC game scotland are playing haiti in boston, not miami (NZ played haiti in fort lauderdale when they lost the friendly 4-0), so the conditions will be far better. if they can at least tie morocco or brazil then they are guaranteed a r32 spot. easier said than done but i have faith in the scots.
>>155019076Scotlands problem is that its full of Scots.
Why don't you brits dribble more? Play Futsal to become better at dribbling in short spaces bro.
>>155019076>>155019346Originally Scotland were the 'beautiful football' passing team. England were the dribbling team.Scotland dont have the players for either these days and that's why you needed Oli Mac.Still its only your heads preventing you from beating Haiti.
Iceland 2016 is a good template for Scotland. It's a good template for most teams.
