I played pickup basketball for the first time in decades. On one hand, weightlifting and cardio was more helpful than I thought. I could out muscle people for rebound, fight for posting, do easy hard cuts, and just have people bounce off of me when in the paint for layups, along with easily keeping up with full sprint defense.On the other hand, my shot and dribbling sucks so once they figured that out, I didn’t get the ball unless I cut into the paint, or got an offensive rebound.
