For those wondering, Sebastian Bialecki's incredible Development Tour run has ended at 38 matches, losing 4-1 to the beautifully named Dutchman Angelo Balsamo in the Last 64 of Dev Tour 14 (Bolt won Dev Tour 13 earlier, beating Leon Weber 5-2 in the final). Bialecki is set to enter the Top 64 imminently (£1,000 behind Thibault Tricole) so he will be unable to play on the Dev Tour after this weekend.

And so Michael van Gerwen keeps his position at #1 in the World Series of Darts Order of Merit (a prestigious honour of course) with a second WSOD title this year as he defeated Luke Humphries 8-7 in a back-and-forth final that was unfortunately marred by constant whistling and jeering against both players. Maybe the PDC should tell Copenhagen to fuck off and host it elsewhere in the Nordic/Baltic region. But they won't: they created the culture so...Had Viktor Tingstrom not missed tops earlier today to knock out Mighty Mike, Cool Hand Luke would have probably claimed the title. But that didn't happen so bad luck; MVG also survived two match darts along the way to winning, so perhaps it was destined to be his day. Some good performances over the past two days, but there was a lot of shit as well; Darius Labanauskas and Jeffrey de Graaf the only good showings from the regional qualifiers (even though Tingstrom won a match and had a match dart in the other, he was pretty poor overall).World Cup starts Thursday.
