As an American, it's just inexplicable that you could live through the Biden administration, where dumbfuck brownoid retards promoted to absurd positions of power were charging and arresting Trump (and Trump affiliates) literally every single day for 4 years straight on various trumped up (excuse the pun) charges, but never ONCE brought up the Jeffstein Files. >I understand it's Paraguay

This is true but honestly I was worried about this game. Paraguay qualified 6th in CONMEBOL, just barely behind Brazil. They're definitely better than Bolivia (who qualified through play-ins) and probably on par with Uruguay. On their best day they're probably about as good as any African team, any Asian team including Japan and Korea, and maybe a couple of shitty European teams too. They're not anywhere near the bottom of the bunch of World Cup teams, easily somewhere in the middle or lower middle.

It was a huge result. The only problem is we all know the USA is incredibly inconsistent, so this win means almost nothing (beside 3 points) going into the next game. That said, it shows we can play at an elite level. If we play that same way against every team, we should make the QF or semi-finals. But we probably won't

>Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th president of the United States, developed a social and professional relationship with financier and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein that began in the late 1980s and continued into at least the early 2000s. During Trump's prior careers as a businessman and media personality before entering politics in 2015, he and Epstein visited each other's real estate properties regularly. Trump and Epstein socialized frequently throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, including attending parties at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and Epstein's residence. Flight logs released during an associate's trial confirm that Trump flew on Epstein's private jet multiple times in the 1990s, and according to Epstein, Trump first had sex with his future wife Melania Knauss in his private jet.

Trump only stopped socializing with him in 2004 after a dispute over a mansion. The first accusations against Epstein fucking children began in 1996.

Oh you're quoting the wikipedia article, written by a bunch of troons, like a stupid little monkey. No surprise there. Here's a direct quote from the same article:

>After Epstein was said to have sexually harassed a teenage daughter of another Mar-a-Lago member in 2007, Trump banned him from the club.

The article also fails to mention that Trump reported Jeffstain to the authorities in Florida and was one of the sole causes of Jeppstein getting prosecuted. Might want to consider that fact

Ah I also want to add, USA plays what we call tiki taka, which is a made up word and the closest translation would be zig zag, so they played as a team and won. My domestic club is Columbus, who played aggressive, possession-based "tiki taka" as well. I love me a good 20-pass goal buildup, but I don't think the US is playing quite that way.

The aggression is super nice to see. We're typically bad-to-mid on offense and solid defensively, and we lose when the midfield wears out and gives up breakouts the defense can't bail out. We've already surpassed our goal total from 2022 I think.

desu, US Soccer is trying to use this world cup to sell the sport to Americans, and that game really breaks the stereotype that soccer is a "boring" sport.

I don't think so, it's better to ask a catalonian about that shit. Personally I'm from Asturias, they take pride of being the only province who wasn't fully subjugated by the romans or the muslims (they did get here, it's just that we were more barbarians and we didn't fully submit to either of them). Most people here are like whatever, let Catalonia decide if they want to be part of the country or not. No hard feelings, we like them, we like Spain, etc.

If we're being real here, there's packed flights full of geriatric men from Sweden all going to Thailand and other countries with the deliberate purpose of nonce shit. There's many countries in the world where some african warlord or cartel kingpin would happily sell off girls to the world elites.

The entire deal with Epstein, Saville, etc and why it's so offensive and appalling is because he was supplying white American / European girls from normal or upper class backgrounds. If it had been haitian or india or brazilian favela slum imports then they would have never been caught and they would have gotten away with it

No, it's obviously not, but I'm assuming you know that the reason Turkey is even remotely white is that the Ottomans enslaved White people, right? You know the history behind the Ottoman empire and Slavs? Where do you think the word "Slave" comes from? The Ottomans would literally raid slavic nations and murder everyone and take the young boys as slaves.

So 1) yes America was originally a White nation, but we have a number of browns and blacks due to slaves and indentured servitude, and 2) Turkey is brown (Mohammedan), but they only have a small number of white-ish skin turks due to enslaving Slavic people.

That performance might've been the best this century for U.S. Soccer, right? only 2002 Portugal and 2009 Spain are the contenders there, and those weren't nearly as dominant or convincing

Also very impressed with the crowd, I was at a bar that didn't have the sound up that high (fucking chain boomer place) and I could hear them clearly, the atmosphere in such a big NFL stadium is so unlike anything we're usually able to muster during qualifiers, friendlies, and continental competitions because they usually either don't sell tickets or get drowned out by CHIs, so good. >>
Based /talents/ autists knew the Aussies were the true threat in the group and called it.
>>
>>155234065
>>155235465
Mathematically, it's best if our group stage opponents get less points than they should so a draw would be 2 points amongst our opponents but either team winning would mean 3 so we would be competing against 2 vs 3

But on the other hand, after that performance we should be thinking about winning the group. Australia winning takes out our biggest threat. Even if they draw we would need a result against Turkey if we lose to Australia so it doesn't really matter
>>
>>155236121
Brother. Australia is the biggest threat.

We've been saying this for weeks.

The Turks are weak minded faggots that choke.
>>
>>155236121
Go on fotmob or whatever app and look at the starting lineup of each side.

The Turks have majority aging turk league players and yildiz is hurt.

The aussies have ascending 26 - 30 year old players that are fast, physical, and strong mind.

The aussies also have the World Cup experience from their 2022 run.

The Turks played terrible teams at the Euro and still choked. Theyre really overrated.
>>
>>155236513
The aussies will be tough. They will stretch our backline when we push forward and spam long balls. It'll give us trouble. I hope Seattle is ready.

>>
>>155236958
With Dest and Robinson bombing forward, AUS will just hoofball to their ngubus that will torch slow Tim Ream.

We need to change our tactics some vs them. Basically if we draw Australia we advance.
>>
>>155237145
We're not invincible with the 3 in the back
>>
>>155237481
Of course not, but we are undefeated with it vs:

Senegal
Uruguay
Japan
Paraguay
Australia

I watches coaches corner and berhalter of all people pointed out something I didn't notice.

Poch is basically rotating freeman or dest bombing forward as the RWB.

So the defense doesn't know whether to cover dest or Freeman because they keep alternating it and they both have the skills to do it.

That's why its worked so well.

It's really smart.
>>
>>155237628
I saw that too! It's why we gave up a goal when Weah came in. He didn't remember to stay back when Freeman went forward. Dest has been really disciplined in staying deeper when Freeman goes forward.
>>
>>155237628
We also haven't had a clean sheet in 7 games and a 3 in the back formation is vulnerable against the goal Australia just scored
If you recall, the goal we gave up against Australia last year came from the wing where Bos took advantage of defensive confusion
>>
>>155237884
I completely agree.

It's why I'm saying the aussies are the real threat.

We don't want them winning this game.

Im talking about a completely imbalanced game that's occurring right now
>>
Holy shit?!
>>
>>155238648
Based on what?!?! Turkey has achieved nothing at the World Cup. They have weakness all over their team. Youre letting a couple flashy names distract you. Australia are basically like USA and always overperform at the world cup.

Right on que... Another AUS goal.
>>
>>155238974
Im watching the game retard. Australia was in their own side for 20 straight minutes getting peppered. Australia putting on an absorb and counter master class but that tends to result in defeat more often than victory
>>
>>155238648
How the fuck did you watch the 2022 world cup and underestimate Australia?
>>
>>155239100
No it’s literally the blueprint on how to win as an underdog lmao
>>
>>155239100
That's how they always play lmao.

It's what they do.

Are you 18?
>>
Turkey have had like 1 and a half genuine scoring chances all match Australia is obviously content to let them pass outside the 18
>>
>>155239133
1) I cant repeat this more - I'm not talking about the player names or pedigree or form or prior tournaments. Im talking about the balance of play in the current game taking place right now
2) lots of things change in 4 years, its stupid to just assign current performance to a tournament 4 years ago

>>155239149
You're saying underdogs usually win? Otherwise you're literally agreeing with me
>>
I live in seattle should I go to the game on Friday
>>
>>155239339
>You're saying underdogs usually win?
Of course not
>>
>>155239391
Yes and you better fight and win
>>
>>155239209
How does that refute what I said whatsoever? They've never won a knockout game, finished last in their group two of the past three tournaments. They aren't exactly using that strategy to consistent success or something
>>
I mean the only result we need now is Turkey to beat Paraguay
>>
Aussies will be feeling very confident like us going into Seattle.

If Seattle delivers, I believe.. that we will win
>>
>>155239424
So then when you said "no" you meant "yes". Because if underdogs usually lose, then the blueprint they all try to follow usually results in defeat.
>>
>>155239500
They accomplished much more recently than Turkey.

Go look at who Turkey played at the euros.
>>
>>155239585
Neither of them have accomplished shit recently
>>
>>155239640
The Aussies beat Japan in Qualifiers and also advanced in 2022 out of the group.

They are a much better team than Turkey.
>>
>>155239500
How can you explain how /talents/ literally predicted this would happen for weeks?

We all said the aussies were the real threat. We were right.
>>
>>155239848
I will say this though. Aussies match up really poorly vs Paraguay. That long ball won't work vs their bus. That will probably be a draw.
>>
>>155239784
Lol ok. Turkey drew Spain away.

>>155239848
Because you tards get things wrong all the time to. You can't really brag about big brain clairvoyance if you need to ignore the Ls
>>
Out of curiosity, what would you guys consider a good result in this tournament? Poch seems to have really elevated the squad, but you have to wonder how far the talent you’ve got is going to take this team.
>>
>>155239983
Final 8, and a good showing there
>>
>>155239983
Our talent is top 10 in the tourney. We have 8 Champions League starters.

I think quarterfinals is a success, and semifinals if a miracle happens.
>>
Going to be hilarious watching Turkey completely meltdown vs Paraguay now that the pressure is on.
>>
/strongmind/ > /weakmind/ in the world cup

This was such a predictable result
>>
>>155240296
Was australia weakmind in 2018?
>>
>>155240660
It's past your bed time, go to bed

We didnt even make the world cup in 2018
>>
>>155240697
Why would it matter if it were 8 years ago? Your mindstrength rule only started applying a couple years ago?
>>
Watched the Aussie broadcast on a VPN
They were calling it Tequila not Türkiye lmao
>>
>>155240778
Because USA is always strong at the World Cup just like the aussies and we both have a slip up every now and then, both of ours happened to be 2018

Both teams have historically overperformed at the World Cup. This is a fact.
>>
>>155240862
Guess the aussies also had one in 2914?
>>
The USMNT is ready for Pep Guardiola
>>
>>155241052
Pretty sure if he was going to manage a national team it would be Spain
And here he would half to deal with CONCACAF that acts as a cartel of sorts and also MLS that forces mls players to be selected and started no matter what

Think Australia are scary with their two Ngubu's up top but we just have to starve them of service and keep Antonee Robinson and Richards in the back to deal with them. I trust Poch after Paraguay now

I know they didn’t score but seeing that one-two pepi and Malik did and Dest balling out
Reyna was linked to PSV before he went to Gladbach
Can’t help but think he would be even more connected and sharp with the PSV connection we’ll see if he stays at gladbach
Thank you Earnie

well, after today's game they ought to be lmao
>>
I BELIEVE
>>
>>155249803
Further proof how powerful our autism is.

/talents/ knew the aussies were the real threat way before they played yesterday.
>>
>>155252552
it's a very sensible take, australia is a REALLY good team right now and i always expected them to make it out of group even if they end on the third spot
seeing SK dominate czechia should've made it obvious considering australia is easily as good or even better than SK (and japan) going by their AFC qualifying campaign
>>
>>155252927
Yeah they beat Japan in Qualifying. They're a good team.
>>
>>155181432
loudest stadium on the west coast for sure. but as someone that's been to 18 of MLS stadiums. Seattle isn't close to the loudest. At least the games I've been too
>>
>>155253210
It's the loudest stadium in the NFL

>burgers actually think beating Paraguay whose best players are motherfucking 35 year old Almiron and Enciso is impressive
>>
>>155253306
You're right it's much less impressive than Ireland's win
>>
>>155253397
We would qualify from CONCASHIT with our eyes closed
>>
>>155253439
You said we would lose every game.

We didn't forget.

Kneel and apologize.

>>155253439
>Irish players surviving murderball on a humid night in Honduras
>Irishmen surviving the texas heat
Lol
>>
>>155253439
It took Scotland (a much better team than Ireland) everything they had to beat Haiti (6th best team in Concacaf) last night lmao.
>>
>>155253439
i hear this every 4 years and every 4 years we advance at the expense of a yuropoor team
>>
>>155241304
I don't watch that slop
>>
>>155240089
Feels like we are JUUUUUST starting to scratch the surface. I don't think this is the year but there is always a chance in hell if you get in the tourney.

By 2030 we should have even more home grown Ngubus playing in Europe cooking like their Uncle's Slow Cooked Ribs to perfection.
>>
>>155253439
Why not simply force FIFA to hold the tournament in your country like US, Canada and Mexico did?

USA gonna go 3-0 based on what we've seen so far. It's coming home!

He's going to take Alphonso Davies spot

And this Australia team
>>
>>155277475
>friendlies
Lol. lmao.

And both were C teams
>>
>>155277475
But will we do it when it counts?
>>
We did not hire Poch to be fucking scared of Australians
>>
>>155278241
I mean yeah but did you see their game last night?
>>
>>155278427
Yeah they did the classic bunker and counter that should get respect but not fear
>>
>>155278427
Berhalter USMNt wouldn't score on Australia but if they can replicate the same skill and pace from the Paraguay game
Turkey looked very lackadaisical in their attacks and they still got 30 shots off

Australia looked good in early but imo they actually looked worse once they sat back more after scoring. After the first goal their line of confrontation dropped way into their own half. The bunker works sometimes but it's not reliable.
Also, this: >>155239339
>You're saying underdogs usually win? Otherwise you're literally agreeing with me
>>
>>155241108
>MLS forces mls players to be selected and started no matter what
This hasn't been true for a while, you casual
>>
>>155277475
Irankunda only played the 2nd half half, and several players like Souttar, toure, herrington, Irvine were even missing

This is going to be a really tough game
>>
>>155278829
Honestly surprised Australia got the second one
Both goals came from nothing but can't remember an Australian attack in the 2nd half before the goal
>>
>>155278891
Irankunda absolutely torched our backline right as he came on too, luckily it was only the B team though
>>
>>155278852
It's never been true
>>
>>155278936
B team?

More like C team.

Roldan, and Sands (lmao) started in the midfield
>>
>>155279071
No Balogun
No Antonee Robinson
No Dest
No Tillman
No Tyler Adams
No Ream
>>
>>155279071
A weird mix, but yeah Roldan and Sands are like D team players. McKenzie is a backup, and Robinson should be thrown into the grand canyon.
>>
>>155279118
Australia were missing 5 starters, we were missing 6 starters

Can't take much from that game
>>
I wish we had a defensive mid to go alongside Adams to help stifle those Australian counterattacks
Why did Musah have to suck?
>>
>>155278456
It was exactly what we used to beat the greatest team of all time, Spain in 2009 who hadn't lost in like 35 games in the confederations cup
>>
Does anyone know the ticket situation in Seattle?

Will there be tons of aussies?
>>
Just realized that Fox has Landon Donovan, the biggest player in the history of American soccer, as their #2 analyst and have the better analyst Stu Holden calling bigger games
Yet they pushed Greg Olsen out in favor of Tom Brady
Lmao
>>
>>155280295
Tom Brady is more comparable to Messi than Donovan
>>
>>155280737
I said American soccer
>>
>>155280134
Its been sold out for weeks
>>
>>155279737
Correct. And there's a reason that Spain won the WC the next year while we were eliminated by Ghana after getting out of the group by the skin of our teeth
>>
>>155253439
Scotland is a far better national team than you with actual good players like McTominay and they were taken to the brink by fucking Haiti of all Concacaf teams, you would not survive in our confederation.
>>
>>155280295
Donovan has been a garbage analyst his entire time doing it. He’s spent his entire time talking up his legacy as much as possible and unsettling our current players and talking them down as much as possible
Great player but a bitch as an analyst
>>
>>155278852
MLS fanboys always want to deny the obvious but it's true, we all know it. Roldan would never sniff the bench ahead of 10 other American midfielders otherwise.
