Why are blacks massively overrepresented in football? Look at Canada. 4.3% black according to the last census but more than half their squad is black. England is the same, about 5.5% black if you include mutts but half the squad. France is about 10% black but there's only 6 non-black players in their squad (one of them is Arab).

The aspect that often gets overlooked is that football academies recruit from cities and the biggest academies are often in the biggest cities. Large urban areas are always disproportionately non-white compared to the rest of the country, because immigrants usually go there instead of some random village. There are other factors too like whites taking other career paths, ngubu genetics etc. but I honestly think proximity to academies is the main one.

Black people are usually poorer than white people, and poor people are more likely to try to get out of poverty via sports.
>>155156369I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that blacks statistically tend to hit puberty slightly earlier, so they'll be more likely to perform better (and therefore play more often) for teams in those age groups. My oldest's team was whiter than a pint milk, and I saw one of the most talented defensive mids I've ever seen just fade to nothing because he had a late puberty. Not a lot you can do against guys who take two steps to your three and you only come up to their chest.
