Someone explain to me why Brazil was so dogshit in the first 15 minutes of the game.
>>

You tell us, they’re your kinfolk.

Brazil is unable to do anything good anymore

they think football is still played the way it was in 1986
>>

>>
Shit team
>>
They were confused
>>
>>155218592
literally unironically favela quality of life has improved so much they can't play good football anymore
>>
Can someone explain to me why in the fuck in brazil a woman is facing a ten year jail sentence for telling a tranny (male) to leave her bathroom? Why has that shit infected your politics so badly?
>>
>>155218911
Yeah the "meta" is basically just tiring your opponent with pointless bs till they fuck up
>>
Those 15 first minutes better reflect the quality of Brazil as a team than the rest of the game. The squad is shit and every single player deserves to be shot. Not merely expelled from the NT, but actually shot so that they cease to live.
>>
>>155218911
What do you mean?
>>
First, they're nervous as fuck, this shirt is too heavy for must of them
2nd Casemiro, Ibañez (CB improvised as RB), Paquetá and fantasminha were dogshit
I feel like when Morocco conceded they were too comfy, you could see they were already starting to go for fancy passes or dribbling the whole team
A more focused team would've opened 2 goals and the game would be gone
>>
>>155219007
so, that's why you guys won it? I saw on the news that you guys were eating horse meat or something like that.
>>
ancelotti said no trannies before games so the players weren't relaxed
>>
>>155219007
Is this factual chat
>>
>>155218719
We may have sired them, but at this point you adopted them, USA-fren.
>>
>>155218592
Because Ibanez is a guitar brand not a football player.
>>
Morocco used the same high pressure tactic USA used yesterday
Risky to do because it requires a lot of energy, but now they have hydration breaks to catch their breath
>>
>>155219007
Makes sense people wouldn't waste time on this garbage if they got better shit to do.
Brazil was only ever as good as it was because we were too fucking poor and ugly and brown and stupid to do anything else.

>>
>>155219021
I hope we lose just to piss off faggots like you sitting on your ass complaining about the performance of other men.
>>
Morocco's new plan was high pressure and dynamic play which they implemented up to the point where Vini scored and then fear took over and they realized how shaky their defense is
>>
Honestly, they were lucky they only got scored once during that time. They were playing just as sloppy as Uruguay.
>>
>>155218592
did you just wake up from a 20 years coma?

>>155219166
I was thinking about how this hydration stuff is gonna change the meta. We laughed about it but it may be pretty consequential
>>
>>155219026

slow, complacent, disorganised, unfit, complete lack of urgency or pressing
>>
>>155219166
>now they have hydration breaks to catch their breath
desu that does factor into the tactics. these breaks give players time to rest so they are not exhausted for the entirety of each half, that changes the whole dynamic of the game
>>
no midfield, centerbacks playing as fullbacks, Paquetá

This is actually true. Back in the day favelados only had footie as their only passtime because they couldn't afford anything else. Now they all have internet access, smartphones, PCs so favela kids grow up playing thirdie vidya like Free Fire instead of dribbling a ball in the streets.

For some reason Abuelotti went with a mixed group compared to the team he had been using recently. That and nerves, you have newfags, faggots from the last WC flop, and even faggots from the 7-1, so they were all nervous and we had to rely on the most unreliable guy to calm everyone down lol

Anyway, I think this was a positive game because it exposed some frauds and I think Abuelotti will eventually run out of excuses for them. Plus they learned how to calm themselves down, the bad part is that it was an individual thing, not a collective or captain-led thing. Anyway, a positive. It could've been far worse.
>>
>>155219541
If we had gone offensive, we would have lost 5-2 at a minimum. Like it or not the balanced approach we had today was our best chance of not losing to a nation that, currently, has better names and plays much better football.
>>
>>155219166
Imagine 2022 Japan with hydration breaks
>>
Brazil has world-quality players, but they never work together as a team. This isn't even the first time this happened - back in 2006 we had the best players in the world in most positions, and they played like shit.

You don't have this perspective just by watching their international games, but world-class players like Vini Jr and Raphinha never really played that well in the national team. We call those teams "agent teams", meaning almost the whole squad is not chosen by the manager, but by the most powerful football agents that have a lot of pull in CBF. If you look up the agents of all the players right now, you'll see there are 7 or 8 that have the same agent. That's completely bonkers. The CBF treats the national team like a showcase for business, not as a sports team. Those agents want "minutagem" (how many minutes a player plays a match) so they can sell them to the an euro team in the next transfer window for 100 million.

And that's it. This was never a team. This is a showcase for euro transfers. That's how you get Gabriel Jesus for 2 World Cups. 0 goals. 2 World Cups.
>>
>>155219590
We gave them cricket, so that's what they're into
>>
>>155219717
>and they played like shit.
No they didn't. They didn't play as best as they could, sure, but they didn't play like shit.
>but world-class players like Vini Jr and Raphinha never really played that well in the national team.
That's because they aren't world class players, but glorified cogs in well oiled club machines.

The rest is correct.
>>
roccans did the same against us in a friendly
they are scary sharp mofos at the start
but i would have thought brazil will make them choke on it, they couldnt

>>155219319
The Brazil team are idealists who don't dope and don't believe in those current boring strategies. Brazil natural style fits better with futsal than modern football
>>
Brazil has dogshit lateral defenders. No idea why.
CBF should be begging Cafu, Roberto Carlos, etc. to make public appearances at academies.
Feels like so many players want to be wingers, forwards, strikers, etc.

but there's a real lack of good lateral defenders.
Also, Casemiro is the shits. No idea why he started. He's done on the national team. Fabinho came on and they stabilized.

Raphinha was also real bad tonight. Ditto for Igor Thiago. Endrick should start.

Brazillians exported Paulo Freire's marxist edumacation methods to USA public schools and academia. Then the USA exported all the resulting shit this caused back to Brazil. Fun story (a bit of an obscure one as well).
Or,even disregarding what i just said: whatever passes as "culture" in Brazil is really"whatever is happening in the USA but 5 to 10 years later"
>>
Why are we acting like Brazil being used to mop the floor is some sort of surprise? Morocco is the superior team. They were great last World Cup and their new coach has built on the ideas of the previous great work that had been done, but with improvements on the offensive side. Man-by-man, they have much better goalkeeper, full-backs and midfield. We have slightly better center-backs and attack, and even that is debatable. Our coach has less than 20 games in the national team and seems thoroughly uninterested in doing anything the previous one wouldn't.
We should be celebrating this draw like Haiti would celebrate against Scotland. What the fuck are you, boomers? I'm 28 years old. This "Brazil is one of the great NTs of the world, we can't accept crumbs" garbage was outdated by the time I started middle school. And, even for several years before that, the idea had yielded no crops.
We are a third tier NT, like Croatia and Germany currently are. We should be celebrating draws against the likes of Portugal, Morocco, Norway, etc. And, if a draw comes against Argentina or France, you should be prepared for that to be the high point of your experience as a Brazil supporter for the rest of your life.

Endrick não entrar num jogo desse, é uma teimosia e uma burrice sem tamanho. Não existe explicação que justifique. Raphinha foi mal demais o jogo inteiro.
Casemiro perdeu a vaga pra Fabinho, Raphinha pra Luiz Henrique e Igor Thiago pra Endrick. Mudanças básicas, porém efetivas.
>>
>>155220366
IDK, I don't think Morocco was that great either. Especially after their 15 minutes of fame were up. Both of you had severe trouble creating big opportunities and finishing.

Brazil barely touched the ball in the first 15 and last 15 minutes of the game. Morocco was literally trying to dribble them.

Only Vini would start for Argentina. No one would start for France. Only Vini would start for Portugal. Only Gabriel and Vini would start for Spain.
Brazilians need to stop listening to what boomers have to say and understand what has been factually our position within football ever since the 2002 WC. We are dark horses like Turkey, Croatia, Belgium or Uruguay.

this + I'm actually old enough to have watched the 2002 WC and people say a lot of things about it that just weren't true.
people misremember us being incredible that world cup. but the truth is that germany played without their best player, ballack, who was the actual best player in that wc
turkey outplayed us the whole semifinal until r9 found luck with a half assed kick
england was as good as we were, but the team was exposed by an unbelievably lucky shot from r10 and couldn't recover
we robbed belgium
we only made it out of the group stage in 1st place because we also robbed turkey with a fake penalty
r9 was man of the match once the entire tournament, but by virtue of having won those 7 games and playing a decent first 12 matches for real madrid, he won the least deserved ballon d'or in history, even worse than modric as modric at least played a full season before winning

I keep telling my friends that. Hungarians seem to be comparatively sober about the fact that they had a great run in football that is just not real anymore. Brazilians are naive about this. They point to Vini Jr and Raphinha in Spain in a way that Hungarians don't do to Kerkez and Szoboszlai in England. There's some kind of irrational arrogance in the Brazilian DNA that prevents people from seeing obvious truths.
The epitome of that to me was when Alexandre Pato gave an interview in late 2022 saying his dream was to win a World Cup and be the top scorer. This is what all Brazilians are like, just on a national level instead of individual.

Neymar, Kaka and Zico combined half 0.5% of a contribution to a World Cup victory and that's Kaká being a decent player to train defenders against in 2002.

Aren't you too quick to rule out Brazil and too excessive in your criticism? They're ranked 6th and had a draw with the n° 7 (Morocco).

Is it really that bad? When Vini scored, Morocco got scared so they resorted to blocking Brazil's dynamic play and they're really good at precisely that: freezing a game and making progression really hard.

Does that invariably mean that Brazil will do nothing? I'm not sold on that. I believe it's more that Brazil started slow and Morocco adapted by playing into Brazil's absolute weakness.

How is your draw against 2026's Morocco worse than your draw/loss to Croatia in 2022? Genuine question.
>>
>>155232302
no, the actual difference is that brazilian football has been co-opted by the clubs to make money
talented players are forced to play positions that generate more revenue, such as wingers
thus, they created a generation of mediocre wingers who could been good fullbacks, midfielders and strikers

João Pedro isn’t any good.
Every Brazilian knows who the top talents of this generation are and who should be in the national team.
Endrick, Rayan, Vitor Roque...
Also, the best Brazilian number 9 today is called Pedro, and he has consistently been Brazil’s best number 9 for the last four years.
And yes, a dreadful player called Igor Thiago was called up because, in his entire disastrous career, he had one good year playing for a mediocre team, scoring goals from counter-attacks, headers and penalties.

They do, but they are in the brazilian league and do not get called unless an agent has an interest in selling their player to the PL.

As an example: Abuelotti never called Mattheus Martinelli even though he’s the engine of Fluminense for example (the semifinalist team of the FIFA Mickey Mouse cup).

Monkeyzil will just turn into Italy it's quite obvious. Not saying they will miss multiple WC or anything, they will win one every 30 years and that's about it, the era of Monkeyzil being a powerhouse is over and other teams are starting to lose any respect for them.
Eliminated by Croatia, Belgium now drawing to Morocco. This is the new Brazil
>>
They used to have some really good footballers. They were also drilled for the duration of the tournament by very strict coaches, who would do literally anything to win. In addition to that they had referee support at every level, were the darlings of FIFA and could rely on the usual spread of theatrics and cheating. Basically they were the international version of Real Madrid. Really, really good and boosted by every decision

Then they stopped making good players. In their current squad they have Raphinha. If you compare that to the team of 10/10 footballers they could usually cobble together, you end up drawing to Morocco and looking by far the worst side
>>
>>155245849
They did look shit, you’re right. But they were still effective and they still had world beaters. Underperforming world beaters, but true quality

For the first time in my life time, my father’s lifetime, and his fathers, there isn’t a Brazilian player that would get in the England starting 11. Go back a few years and 9 of them would, at least. And we’re not as good as Spain, France or Argentina

>>
>>155246034
I know it did. But we aren’t discussing England, we’re discussing Brazil. England have blown it at multiple tournaments recently but if we played you ten times you wouldn’t win once. That performance against Morocco would get you booty blasted by the USA or Scotland

I can think of at least 5 dribbles by brazil in the first half. One by paquetá, two by vini, one by rafinha, and a fifth one which was a flick but I don't remember by whom. People are way to emotional about this match, Brazil was nervous but after Vini's goal they regain composure and controlled the ball for the rest of the match until the last few minutes. Morrocos was obviously happy to tie as seen by the insane time wasting by them in the second half (that gk was embarassing). The brazilian team is nearly there, Ancellotti will make a few adjustments over the next couple of matches and Brazil will come locked in for the knockout stages.

>>
>>155246388
This. In a couple of matches the starting lineup will include Endrick, Danilo and either Fabinho or Danilo Santos instead of Casemiro. That's all you need for the team to click. Ancelotti already sees this for sure. He will test it against Haiti and Scotland for the final adjustments, and Brazil will be good to go for the knockout stage.
>>
>>155218592

>>
>>155218592
I wouldn't take the merit away from Morocco. Brazil is certainly not what it used to be, but Morocco plays great football. They're very organized in their movement and precise in their touches, a pleasure to watch. Brazilians should be grateful that they have someone with the talent to make a difference in a game like that. I can only think of another couple of players that could pull off a goal like Vini did.
>>
>>155246881
Not that FIFA rankings mean a whole lot, but Morocco is ranked 8th. It was the only match of the world cup so far between 2 top 10 countries.

They're probably ranked higher than Mexico but I haven't checked.
>>
>>155246944
>ranked 8th
FIFA rankings are bullshit. Morocco got to semis on the Qatar world cup, while Mexico got grouped. Morocco is light years ahead of any Concacaf team, they're easily top 5.

Brazil missing too many short passes, it was so fucking annoying. Clearly there's near zero team cohesion and this is not something that can be built in a few WC games.

No, we didn't go up after this tie with Brazil. The rankings only update once a month i think and if you go to liverankings, you can that the score of yesterday's match didn't affect our elo ranking substantially enough to make it budge.
>>
>>155247729
Lol i wish, but it's just impossible. Until we get good at actually getting the ball in the net, you know, the purpose of this whole game, we're not gonna win a world cup.
>>

>>
>>155247771

Not sure if that's the case, but if it's not, they should really make an exception during world cups and update after every match. It's the world cup.
>>
>>155248301
Ok, so apparently i was wrong. The rankings are up to date.
Brazil at 1765.34
Morocco at 1755.62

The impact of yesterday's draw was an increment of 0.5 point for Morocco and a decrement of 0.5 point for Brazil. Irrelevant

>>155246881
I'm not seething or trying to be bitter but the merit is not on Morocco. We gave the ball away to them for free dozens of times and they managed 3 shots on target. This was with an improvised fullback (who played just like that the entire first half) and a midfield carrying 2 metric tons of shit in their diapers. This match was mostly on Brazil being shit and disorganized, but Morocco did kind of win the tactical battle even if they did little with the free balls.

I somewhat agree with you but where you're not crediting Morocco is in the impact they had in the disruption of the Brazilian game and their progression. There's a chance that you see things from a different lense if you rewatch the match. A lot of what your frustration and the blame you put on your players is actually on the Moroccan side.

Where i 100% agree with you is how we terribly sucked at attacking and conversion. I think that's understated and makes me think we won't fare well in this world cup.
>>
>>155218911

>>
>>155220366
>much better goalkeeper
Absolutely not
>>
>>155249191
I don't know, Brazil is clearly the most disorganized team in this tournament. Those wrong passes weren't just forced mistakes, a lot of it was the fact that was the first time that XI played together, at all, not just in a serious match. Do you reckon Morocco's midfield can keep this up against better trained teams? I found that Brazil's attacks, when they got past midfield, worked way too often but I'm not sure which team to credit for that at this point.
>>
>>155250093
All of this will be settled down and the real worth of your team will be quantifiable when we're past the group stage. I'm still convinced that a good part of your reservations about your team are due to misreading what is on your team and what is to be attributed to the Moroccan disruptions of your play.

>Do you reckon Morocco's midfield can keep this up against better trained teams?
I do, but only because the gameplan would differ and because there'd be Amrabat playing as the backbone of that midfield in any high stake game.

That being said, you will suffer against Scotland. They're defensive and play the counter and you suck at dealing with this kind of contenders.
>>

>>155250324
Ancelotti has shown himself to be quite pragmatic at least. It's a shame we don't have Estêvão for low blocks but the attack has been improving.

Morocco looks quite capable of repeating their previous WC's achievements. A lot of people are writing off our teams because of this match. I understand how it looked but that's quite naive.

Imagine the 2022 world cup, but in reverse. Portugal looked spectacular before being disrupted in their match against Morocco. They even scored a 6-1 against Switzerland the match before.
Now imagine what people would be saying if their first match in the group stages was against us?

We're just that good at being parasitic to attacking and possession teams, which can skew your reading of what happened. And unfortunately for you, Scotland is kind of the same to a lower extent.

You guys just don't shine against this kind of teams is all, so i really think that we'll only have a full realization of Brazil's real worth past the group stage.
