Teams will try to save energy though if they are that far ahead, but not without trying to convert chances that arise. It is considered respectful to take an opponent seriously from start to finish. Germany didn’t go all out against Curacao, that would have been a waste of energy. But sometimes, you can choose to stay in control more and prioritize conserving energy even more clearly
