I feel very vindicated knowing that everything I saw in topuria's previous fights, being on the very edge of gassing out against Max in the early 3rd round, those weird looks in the clinch against Oliveira, and handily losing the jab war to Volkanovski, all came back and played a part in his ultimate
Maybe I do know what I'm looking at after all

Shitty quality pic, but Gaethje was completely stunned by that liver shot for a second, and from this pic you'd think he's about to rain down hammer fists on an unprotected opponent. Instead, he goes straight for an armbar, lets Gaethje recover for reasons beyond my understanding, and doesn't even throw a single hammer fist.

I think he got shook by the fact that Justin was eating and trading with his shots that wobbled other guys and taking no visible damage, he probably got in his head and lost his confidence in his ability to put his lights out so he scrambled for the submission
