I don’t understand the international approval of the stadiums. Because they are big and modern or the optics with the sun and crowd and field? They are plastic and soulless

Would you rather play in a shiny new tacky palace or the most historic resume stadium in the world like the rose bowl? Easy choice
>>
>>155330918
They want more amenities and less bleacher seating.
>>
>>155330918
Its business, if i got even .01% of that pie i want games played in the biggest venues in the best markets for soccer.

Cant have games played in the silverdome in detroit like they did in 94. Like fucking kek, what tourist wants to come to america to see detroit?

KC is one of the biggest if not THE biggest soccer market in america and arrowhead is a SOVL venue. You cant be serious about the other 3, all those are nu age international cities, well connected for travel with state of the art stadiums and strong enough infrastructure to handle the influx of World cup tourism.

Idk it's just a stadium but it's nice it'll get to host WC games, I don't remember the schedule for the new stadium in Kansas but it can't be much more than 5 years off. Looks like Kaufman will be getting demo'd too.

>>155332116
KC always gets B-2 flyovers because the one of the only stateside AFBs that keeps them is a couple of hours down the Interstate. Even the B-2 flyovers that happen on the coasts probably flew out of and returned to Missouri, they make all of it a big training mission so it's probably more stressful than their regular training.

It's 6, soon to be 8 since Hamburg and Frankfurt are expanding
Also, many US stadiums use bleachers, which are much denser than classic seats, and therefore don't really count. But yeah, they have many large stadiums. Their 32 NFL stadiums suffice, smallest of them is 61,500, I believe. Of course, part of that boils down to the US leagues being franchises owned by billionaires. They can build stadiums as large as they please

joke's on us, krautbro
the billionaires hold the teams hostage and threaten to move to another city unless the whole thing is subsidized by taxpayers- we actually pay for the stadiums for the billionaires
check out what's happening to the Bears, the A's, a different hockey team every few years, the Chargers, etc
god bless america

>>
>>155332116

>>
>>155333050
Yeah, it is kind of sad. Billionaires demanding tax money to make their assets even more profitable, and threatening to move elsewhere, a place where they are offered more
I also find it kind of detestable that the current NFL trend in stadiums is all about enhancing the luxury aspect: more VIP boxes, more expensive amenities - but actually fewer seats in total to justify higher prices
But still, many of your stadiums are very interesting, I like reading about them from a purely neutral point of view. And sometimes, I can't help but jealously look at how your franchises spend 2 billion for stadiums. Here, you obviously have to be very careful with these projects, because they can fuck up your club's finances for ages. And if you get relegated, the new bigger stadium isn't a help anymore, usually
My club has a new stadium on the distant horizon and I am very nervous about the entire thing, because it will be very important, but we currently have no real means to pull off the project in the desired dimensions. Despite being financially healthy all in all

Scottish lass for good luck
>>
>>155333050
You dont know the full story. The billionare wants a new stadium and the city forces them to do random walkable ADA city bullshit improvements for double what the stadium would cost on its own. And they try to up the property tax from what it was because the "value goes up". The billionare says ok Im leaving then until the city (usually) folds as says ok fine pay us a similar amount as before and we will have the tax payer pay for the new light rail shit they dont want or use and we get to blame you.
Its the same reason a new I5 bridge from Portland to Vancouver hasnt been built for 30 years. The government keeps doubling the cost for light rail nonsense no one wants.

>>155332729
Roofs turn a stadium into a factory.
>>
>>155333050
No, you fatherless anime obsessed faggot, your remarks seem to lack relevance, as my childhood experiences are of great importance. Thus, I recommend you reflect on the sales tax; at least I have something worthwhile to pass on to my children. Unlike the Marshall Plan, which proved to be a misguided use of taxpayer funds, Europe was still invaded, and now there are 53 million Muslims living throughout Europe.

English stadiums are mostly all new or completely renovated like Anfield or Villa Park. The only sovlful big stadium left in England is Hillsborough and it's falling apart but should be preserved as a monument as the scousekiller9000.

Why are they using the temporary name for Arrowhead Stadium? I thought it was just about sponsors but Arrowhead is just the name of the place.
>>
>>155332613

>>
>>155336321
FIFA is capricious in that regard, they have their own head at this for whatever reason. I guess they did this for the sake of uniformity. I find it dumb, personally. They also renamed various stadiums in 2006 for no reason. And instead of using the traditional non-sponsor names for them (the ones fans use anyway), they went with their usual area naming. I guess 2006 is easier to explain in that regard since "Volksparkstadion" or "Westfalenstadion" look a bit unappealing to foreigners

It's a stretch, but the KC Chiefs logo is literally an arrowhead.
But it's not the only one as they're also calling Metlife Stadium "New York New Jersey Stadium" instead of the Meadowlands, which is literally just the name for the region the stadium is location.
