>High Class Enters Partnership With Isotta Fraschini>High Class Could Run Isotta Fraschini in WEC, IMSASingaporeanon will be happy
The Isotta running in IMSA is just bait from John "hot scoops" Dagys. They don't make enough road cars and thus won't be allowed in as long as that rule exists. Doonan's quotes are the same shit he always says.
>>155397742That is pretty awesome. I was expecting an ALMS entry, but WEC and IMSA would be fantastic, but wouldn't they have the same problem as Glickenhaus in IMSA?

>>155370656>I never really even heard an explanationI hate bringing up BoP while not having the actual tables to back this up, but I think it's just that the LM-specific BoP hasn't caught up with the WEC-specific BoP, with a sprinkle of the car just being flawed in some unfixable way.I was heavy on the hopium initially and I thought they were playing some game betting on a post-quali BoP adjustment but apparently they were just that slow. I spoke with a couple of their pit crew guys and it was depressing, they work so hard and yet there they are dead last with no real way to do anything about it. It's not surprising they are developing a new car even though it wasn't clear if it's a new blank slate design or if they are just going all in on jokers to fix what they have like Ferrari is doing. I'm sure more details will come out at some point.I'd like to have more insider information to share but I've been taking the LMP2 pill for quite a few years now so I'm not working in WEC anymore. Save for the LM24, all I have regarding Hypercar shenanigans is second or third hand information which isn't really worth much.>>155367363I think the Valkyrie was one of the victims of the huge temperature swings we had in the race compared to the rest of the week, cause they weren't doing half bad in practice and qualifying.Btw check this outhttps://fiawec.alkamelsystems.com/?season=15_2026&evvent=03_LE+MANSIf you scroll down to race and then hour 24 there are some interesting analysis to look at to see where cars are losing time. For example, the #007 spent about a minute more in pit lane than #7 with both cars having a single outlier pit stop, but then #20 spent a minute less than #7 and still finished behind so obviously it's not just pit stops. Good luck sorting through all the numbers.>>155391806Thanks bro, that's the app I'm already using but I don't think the app has anything to do with the problem cause even on a regular browser I keep getting rangeban errors

I was already having some issues financially (why I didn't buy tickets to IndyCar this year) and now with the medical bills it will be even worse. 6 hours at Road America will be cool to watch at home though. it should have always been 6 hours, 2 hours 40 minutes is nothing.
True or False, the driver lineup is holding the Valk back.
>>155414252Roman De Angelis and Alex Riberas have no business being in a top level prototype. I hate Tincknell but I also believe he has been a legitimate detriment to their effort on track. Fuck Multimatic. Gamble was a gamble that turned out okay. Sorensen and Gunn are fine. However the car fucking sucks and is still disadvantaged by the rules even with optimal BoP. It's slow out of corners, can't handle bumps and curbs, and has low top speed.
>>155414252possibly, but I think it's more the car being inherently uncompetitive. even though there's BoP in sports car racing there are still areas you can improve the competitiveness of the car in, that's why you see the older GT3 cars being dropped for newer models even though technically you could still run the old one until the homologation expires.
>>155412960>medical billsWe have created a monster in this country with the cost of medical care. Remember, they typically do not charge interest on medical debt and they won't send you to collections if you meet their minimum payments. It is terribly annoying to carry any debt, but in this case if you are having financial issues it is definitely worth the time to establish if there is any intrest involved and what the absolute minimum payment you can make without being sent to collections. I've dealt with this bullshit and it sucks, but it's survivable without eating nothing but ramen for 5 years. >>155414960>the car being inherently uncompetitive>Glickenhaus >Vanwall >Isotta FrascciniYeah, it's quite unfortunate, but you can just have a dud right off the drawing board. Maybe they can use some jokers or something, but I'm not tremendously optimistic, although I will 100% support them the entire way.>that's why you see the older GT3 Being run, as well. The AMG is so solid they are still running it even though it's one of the oldest cars in top competition. The Hurracan and Lexus are also good examples. It's actually going to be interesting to see if all their new cars are as successful.
>>155415705NTA but i also had some uninsured (minor) surgery done, granted this was pre covid when the world at least made a little sense. But i was able to pay 75 a month. And that was me having a job. I do think they have some level of sympathy for people that were in a literal life or death level of care required. But once again this was years ago. Hopefully some of those people still exist.>>155416537I was actually kinda disappointed how much pace the Genesis showed before they started blowing up in so much less track time then Aston has had. Hopefully some more competitive races are ahead as the weather might've had a play in its struggles. Its not like we haven't seen it make some good runs at places like Spa.
>>155416537dunno about the new Merc or Lambo, but the GR GT3 will be a much more serious car than the RC F. it's basically the closest thing lately that is like the homologation specials of old, they designed it as a GT3 race car first and the road car was secondary. with the RC F they took the road car and then made a GT3 version. sure there is BoP to deal with but I have no doubt it will be a very competitive car.
I dunno, i think Berry got a little bit of a raw deal cause what can you expect out of a Ford right now? But good luck to Love.

>>155417108>I was actually kinda disappointed how much pace the Genesis showed before they started blowingYeah, that was a bit sad, but they got to copy a lot of homework and they also have a massive automotive company with way more relevan resources than GabeN. It doesn't make it less frustrating, but it certainly is understandable. >>155417225Yeah, Toyota definitely put an awful lot of effort into that project and I am sure they are going for the top step in every series, especially Super GT. I'm actually a bit concerned that Mercedes and Lamborghini will not be able to improve on the cars they have now as I rather like both the AMG and the Huracan. It was really nice to see the Corvette Z06 GT3 win le Mans, but it was extremely disappointing to see the Mustang GT3 get absolutely decimated. It's also sad to see McLaren suck so badly.
>>155417597The absolute state of Ford in NASCAR right now is abysmal, but it won't last forever. Besides, it's still a move up for him as as long as he can bring the car home in one piece for a year or two, I'm sure he'll get a better seat.
>>155418640This is pretty cool.
>>155420650>the top step in every series, especially Super GT.well the top step of GT300 at least. I haven't heard anything about them making a GT500 version of the GR GT. they might just keep the Supra as their GT500 car. GT500's are silhouette cars that all have inline 4 turbo anyway, Super Formula uses basically the same engine.
>>155420650>It's also sad to see McLaren suck so badly. It wouldn't surprise me if they're funneling more resources into getting the hypercar going. I think once thats settled and doing laps the GT car will get more attention.

>>155414960Old GT3 cars are slow because of BoP you retard. If you run in a championship where there's not enough manufacturer involvement for anyone to give a shit you can win with a 10 year old car based on a road car that's been out of production for 5 years, anything from 2013 or 2014 or so is easily fast enough.
>>155428783top teams aren't running Callaway Corvettes. yeah you can win a race or two with an old car but if you want to win the championship you're gonna get a newer car.

But the problem is that you have to run the newest car, because they will make the older cars slower.>This is where politics come into play, if you don’t buy the evo kit, it’s highly unlikely you will be able to get the results you want because manufacturers don’t want older-spec cars beating the new ones. “If you do win with an out of date car, then the paddock will complain,” an experienced driver pointed out.>“I wouldn’t mind after a few years upgrading,” one European team owner said, “but the last evo actually made the car slower, harder to drive, before we got to BoP. What a waste…”>Evo kits are generally thought of as a means to generate money for manufacturers, more than they are to make the cars more competitive. They are all part of what one manufacturer representative called: “a product lifecycle strategy.”

>>155402580If you speak with the Oreca guys the situation seems bleak with key technical regs still missing and development proceeding slowly or not at all, which is weird considering that they should start delivering the cars by mid '27.I don't know how much of that is true and how much is them just keeping a facade of discontent for whatever reason, but the mood seems generally bad let's put it like that. I haven't heard of any actual testing so far so at least we can be confident that there isn't a rolling prototype yet. The fact that will be a completely new chassis seems to make them particularly salty, but maybe those will end up being reused for the 2030 HCs, who knows. I have no idea what Ligier is up to unfortunately, but I honestly don't expect them to be much ahead of Oreca. I hope they end up selling a lot of their cars and we can see actual competition, but I wouldn't be surprised if they won'tIt's sad to see the current cars go, they are a relic of a very different era of endurance racing, but they are undoubtedly showing their age compared to the rest of the grid even though they are still exceptionally fast and capable machines. Many systems on the car (airjacks, lights, dampers, wheel nuts just to name a few) are now all but obsolete, next year the current design will be 10 years old, with some details dating back to 2014 so it was long overdue for a refresh. It sucks that the new cars will be slower and the engines quieter, but the first few years are going to be very interesting with everyone scrambling to understand the car's strengths and weaknesses and there will definitely be a reshuffle in the pecking order. The current cars are mostly a solved problem, there is nothing left to discover because pretty much everything has been tried already, it's borderline boring. Se yeah, I'm excited for the new cars and I'm happy that the ACO (and IMSA) seem to be ok with keeping the class alive for a long time.

Detailed report on the Burgerking24 by toyotahttps://toyotagazooracing.com/nurburgring/report/2026/24hrace/> The 2026 24 Hours of Nürburgring, held a month earlier than last year, began with a visit to a small park located along a public road near the Nürburgring. It is the site of two cherry trees, one German and one Japanese, that were planted there. In 2011, the trees were small and had slender trunks, but today they have grown thick, tall, and lush. Here, Morizo and the rest of the team members offered their prayers for safety during the race and shared their individual goals with the late Hiromu Naruse, who paved the way for the team's activities at the Nürburgring.SOVL

>>155443880Have you looked actually at hteir lineup, the previous 2 seasons were horrible yes, but 2026 looks pretty different.Duquine had Andlauer, Vershoor and Pin as their drivers at LM, they were leading LMP2 for most of the race and the SCs nulled out always their lead which they were able to extend again. Ver and Andlauer are good drivers we all know, and you can view Pin as being the paydriver as her seat is funded highly by the Mercedes junior program, but she is fast so the lineup is pretty strong this year I would say. >>155443883yes it is, and this drive a whole team into a pro-am situation, with a car that has no share knowledge to anyone.both silver driver aren't experienced driver nor having car development experiences, and no GT/sportscar/prototype experiences for them (and one of it mainly runs F4 and short season of LMP2)which means there's no pace nor consistency to both dudes, and inconsistency driving not only mean more crash-prone, but also means more garbage data for development(not helpful to find the best setup)and this mean there's only ONE driver(Jean-Karl Vernay) doing the main car development AND pro-am like tuning/consulting session during the racing season, compromise even more development effort.if there's a boarderline experienced gold driver(like some good-rank F2/F3/GT3 driver) or a super silver(something like geleal) in the lineup with a main development driver, the car may improve a lot and provide more suitable info for future upgrade.

>>155440681I don't find any of that particularly surprising. The car definitely needs to be updated, but I would argue that since>The current cars are mostly a solved problemas you put it, the on track racing is pretty good. The races are decided by driving and pit crew efficiency. The situation is similar to IndyCar.It seems that every major technical regulations change is full of problems and it makes me wonder if perhaps before we didn't have so much information about it or if the cars are becoming too complicated or even if larger societal trends have cause a competency crisis.I'm trying to optimistic about things, but I have seen LMP2 continuously be down graded and the new regulations seem to be a continuation of that process. I would desperately love to see a return to an LMP900/LMP675 situation, but I don't think most manufacturers would even understand that, let alone support it at this point. I will always love and support sports car racing, but I am increasingly concerned for its future.

It's sad that they had to make them slower so they don't drive laps on top of HCs but that was an unfortunate reality given that it was a car developed over a decade ago when the top class was made of spaceships. It was bound to happen, manufacturers want cheaper cars and that means slower cars, if that's what it takes to have full grids and entertaining races then I'll accept slower LMP2s and carry on, laptime isn't everything. Also I'm selfishly looking at me doing my job and it's always interesting to deal with a new car at the same time as everyone else. It kind of levels the playing field for a little while, both for the engineers who have to extract potential out of the cars and for the mechanics who have to learn to work efficiently in and around them.If what they said is true regarding the target weight, engine power and aero philosophy then i'm not expecting much of a departure from the current performance (the detuned one, that is), so yeah we won't be breaking any records anytime soon but at least my beloved dentists can still race their fast prototypes for many years to come. There's always the LMP3 for the true shitter class so I hope the ACO will leave some dignity for my boy LMP2.I've run out of LM pics so have a crashed Peugeot from a few months ago.

>>155453589>we won't see a drastic drop in the quality of racing. I think you are right about that. I should stop dooming. It's just that my passion or racing comes from my love of machines, which I am sure you understand. I especially like to see as many answers as possible to the question >how do we build a car that goes the fastest over a long time?I like that we have some many entries in LMP2, I just wish we had multiple chassis and engine configuration. It's like we have to choose between have 3 or 4 unique cars in the field or 20 very similar ones. >they had to make them slowerYeah, I really miss the days of LMP2 contending for the overall win, but I guess since things are the way they are the manufacturers in HC would be absolutely mental if they had to compete with LMP2 cars. I really like the concept of the lighter, less powerful car that handles better over the big heavy powerhouse. Another reason to slow them down is that series need to reset the speed every once in a while or we would have cars doing 250mph on the Hunaudières or F1 cars with the footprint of a moving truck.>Also I'm selfishly looking at me doing my job and it's always interesting to deal with a new car at the same time as everyone else. There is no shame in that. In fact, I'm glad you said it because it helps me appreciate it in a different way. I imagine it is extremely exciting getting to work on a new car and try to discover its potential while in competition with all the other teams. Honestly, my biggest gripe is that it isn't an NA V8 any more, otherwise I think it's largely a lateral move and I am EXTREMELY hopeful that their will be at least some semblance of parody between the two chassis. In what ways was the Courage so much better anyway? I never really thought about that, I just saw it win a lot and everyone stopped using it >crashed Peugeot(▰˘︹˘▰)

>>155462222>I just wish we had multiple chassis and engine configuration.I wish that too, but I guess it's hard to create a class where development is basically banned and not have it converge at some point to what ends up being the best chassis-engine combo. I hope Ligier steps up to the challenge, but considering how Oreca had so many more customers and half a decade of effective monopoly on the class and a mountain of data and feedback and so much loyalty from so many teams, it's going to be tough. With engines especially the writing was on the wall long before 2017 with most teams already converging to what was found to be the best engine at the time (the Nismo) so the rules simply made it official but with a different manufacturer, which ultimately ended up being an excellent pick.At the end of the day it's a class for amateurs and aspiring HC drivers, it can't be too complex nor too expensive, both for buyers and manufacturers who need to set up a support chain. Reducing the available choices is a great way to save on costs for everyone even if it means reducing competition. In fact I believe nobody besides Oreca and Ligier even bothered to apply to be a supplier so it's not like there's a line of manufacturers outside the ACO's door fighting to get back in the class.>>155465787Believe it or not there's development to be made even on wheel nuts, and the ones on the Oreca 07 are absolute top-tier dogshit that couldn't keep up with wheel guns back when the car was new, let alone now after a decade of wheel gun improvements. There are GT wheel nuts that go on for multiple seasons, but on the LMP2 you need to throw them in the bin after a single race even when everything goes alright. It's one of the many reasons why this class has some of the slowest pit stops out there.
>>155467143They converged on Nissan because having both a cost cap and stock blocks was retarded and nobody was ever going to catch up to the bajillion yen Nissan spent on that engine in other series previously. The second chassis constructor is only there for absolute faggotron arguments that it isn't a spec class and ORECA isn't a monopoly.I honestly don't care how fast or fun the cars are they just should not be taking up space at Le Mans unless absolutely fucking necessary like those Peugeot one make shitboxes in the 90s let alone be the only real race actually taking place.

The demographic that pays attention to IMSA and not to Le Mans is microscopic in marketing terms, it's only for when global corpo will only let you run a local program (Acura, historically but not presently BMW and Lexus) and "experiential marketing" like Corvette corrals. That's why Ford doesn't give a fuck about running GTP, they only want to win Le Mans overall and host Mustang corrals.

You NASCAR fans have surely raced with all the EA games on the PS2.After buying a slew of F1 games and an IndyCar series game, I decided I also wanted a NASCAR game for the PS2. Reading various past reviews, I read that the most hated of all is NASCAR 08. But why do you hate it so much and say it's the ugliest? In various forums, they say it's easier to drive and has been greatly simplified. This isn't bad for me, as I love simple games—that is, you get in the car and drive.N08 is the only one easily available in Italy, and the prices are very low. All the others are very rare and really expensive, so I'm really thinking about getting it.What do you think? Is it really that bad?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHxvF4w_Og4
>>155478781because by N08 EA had given up on the series and stopped refining it. removed features, worse graphics, simply less care or craft put into it.Thunder 04 was the pinnacle of the more hardcore games, CftC05 was the most refined, TTC06 was the most feature-rich. any one of those three are better than 08.
