>Time to get some food
>Time to run to the bathroom
>Time to grab a fresh drink
>Time to grab a snack
>Time to grab some potato chips (That's what we call 'crisps' in the States)
>Players get to stay safely hydrated
What's the big deal? "Muh tradition?"

Yes
>>

With the minimum of 3 mins per half plus guaranteed extended extra time the avg game length is over 10 mins above previous world cups. This plus the stoppage that allows for recuperation, planning, etc has fundamentally changed the game. Teams without deep benches who can rest players and coaches who have actual strategy aren’t going far. Advantage: blue bloods like France, England, Argentina, and Germany. Spain and Brazil are fucked because their coaches are brainlets. USA less fucked because our bench is shallow. Norway and Morocco have the same problem. Rest of the teams I don’t rate.
>>
I noticed the England fans booing it during our game. Follow our lead, people. Throw some shit on the pitch too, to show your disgust. Real shit, if necessary. They won’t stop doing it, but it’ll be embarrassing PR if the boos continue.
>>
>>155439827
You Europeans wanted it though, as led by Infantino. We only implemented it first, water breaks will be at all the matches in Spain etc at the next World Cup.
>>
>>155439827
>Booing the hydration breaks
>But still buying tickets to the game
>But still buying food at the game
>But still watching games on television when you go back to the hotel
Lmao. FIFA will take the advertiser money and ignore the booing
>>
>>155439733
I've come to enjoy it, it's literally a "go on your phone" break
>>
>>155439733
I like knowing I have a little break during the half. Feels natural
>>
It's a symptom of the US ruining the rest of the world's sport. Its the one thing they had against us, we didn't care about their sport and didn't pay attention to it, and we didn't put our practices in it yet. Now we are interested, and American capitalists who own NFL teams or ESPN executives have been trying things like the "Super League" debacle a few years ago that pissed fans off, VAR (inspired by American NFL challenges mechanism) etc
>>
>>155439951
>>155439962
Zoomer brains are literally too underdeveloped to understand the real sport. Grim.
>>
I think it's cringe but what makes it unforgiveable is they keep the timer running
>>
>>155439966
Only retards hate VAR. VAR saved the sport
>>
>>155439975
God forbid athletes stay hydrated

>>155439980
Extra time is a thing
>>
They shouldn’t bother even giving them water. Fit them all with catheter bags and have them drink their own piss.
>>
>>155439733
for me it's poasting time
>>
>>155439733
Its literally a commercial break in the middle of the game
>>
I don't want to watch commercials you fucking jew. This only benefits the ultra wealthy.
>>
>>155439733
I don't mind the hydration breaks cause sometimes the players will score literally right after. Gives them a burst of energy.
>>
I use it to jizz all over my belly using the webms in the sticky.
>>
>>155440033
What's the point of the catheter bag if they're just gonna drink their own piss? Catheter bag is for when you can't piss
>>
>>155440420
hands off my piss, waterboy

>I have literally nothing else to do with my life
>Im poor and only have one monitor
>Im too retarded and lazy to press the mute button.

I haven't watched a single fucking commercial, pre game analysis, halftime analysis, or post game.
>>
Pre game really sucks

Ironic coming from someone who watches NRL/AFL
>>
Coaches should not be allowed to give them advice during the breaks, right now it's a free timeout
>>
>>155439733
It should be like 45seconds long tops. And no break at all if it isn't hot weather
>>
>>155439733
Kill yourself jewshart
>>
>I NEED to have six drinks and three toilet breaks in 45 minutes
Are you some kind of subhuman?
>>
>>155439951
>>155439962
Id genuinely like to murder you, pillow over your head. Let you drift off
>>
>>155441647
If they made it discretionary based on weather, the corrupt fucks would do it every single time anyway just to show ads. This would be an even worse look for FIFA so they made it standard. Also means they can sell the ad spots ahead of time. Anyone saying this is about anything but ads is either stupid or lying.
>>
>>155440032
Yeah its about hydration isnt it :)
>>
I'm glad they're staring to get booed now
>>155439827
It got booed in the ghana panama game too because it put and end to the only decent run of play in the game up to that point. Also because it was pissing down with rain and the fans in ponchos can see that it's bullshit.
>>
>>155441581
technically they aren't but there's no punishment for it
>>
>>155441834
I didn't know they were even showing ads until people said it on here. I checked a US stream and yeah they cut to full on ad breaks. They don't even do that thing where they show the game in a box.
>>
>>155439869
>You Europeans, as led by Infantino

new idea: hydration breaks but if it’s below idk 25C, you’re only allowed to have two shots of vodka and a fag. and it’s mandatory
>>
>>155439733
I love hydration breaks and we should have more of them.
>>
>It's alright it'll just be in for the American hosted WC
Do people actually believe this? FIFA isn't going to stop here, they WILL expand it to become the default and get even more egregious. It's how advertising works.
>>
it breaks continuity, its essentially a timeout
the team on the backfoot gains on this, mayhaps avoid a goal, so its counterproductive
>>
Hah
>>
>>155439733
Look it's fucking hot in the summer here...
>>
>>155441796
Pillow takes a few minutes for the victim to stop struggling, and you need some very strong arms as he is going to trash around since the co2 in his lungs feels just as if they were burning
>>
>>155439951
I fucking hate Americans and their constant excuses for making things worse for themselves so they can be advertised to better by their masters, hebhydration breaks suck, literally everyone hates them

Euros watch soccer because it's serious business, we watch it for entertainment. People like to take breaks during TV shows, movies etc., but for them it's much more than entertainment.
>>
>>155445591
You take breaks during movies? You can't sit still for 90 minutes?
>>
January night in some Norf sithole. Rain, sleet, hail, 40mph gusts - 5 minute hydration break for a lovely steaming cup of tea or bovril. Might as well, games gone anyway

Stretch your legs, piss, shit, check your phone, kid/dog stuff, snack, beer.

No I don't want to sit there glued in place.
>>
Soccer is played in quarters now, get used to it. Are you afraid of change ?
>>
>>155445614
You never need to refill on snacks? or go to the restroom?
>>
>>155445817
It's 45 minutes you obese mongrel
>>
>>155446116
that's enough for 4 snacktimes minimum
>>
This is obviously a low quality bait, but:
>timer keeps going, and added time doesn't exactly compensate for hydro breaks, making play time effectively shorter
>those breaks are used as tactical breaks, which is illegal in football
>obvious money grab

At this point, just split the game in 4 instead of two halves and call it a day, but Corruptino keeps pretending he cares about football
>>
>>155445745
>No I don't want to sit there glued in place.
Then don't watch footy you absolute fucktard. You're free to do literally anything else.

>>155440460
You talk a lot of shit for a dude advocating for putting MORE goyslop on your screen LMAO

>>155439966
I was arguing in favor of NBA ot volleyball challenges in football for decades. Challenge system is quite fair, IMO - gives you the opportunity to fight bad reffing, but there is an element of risk/reward tactics.
VAR, however, takes accountability away from the main referee in lieu of some nameless people in a van
>>
Reminder that Major League Soccer, the domestic US soccer league, has a summer season schedule and has never had hydration breaks.

Because its television ratings don't compel them to insert more commercial breaks.
>>
>>155439733
Ok rabbi
