Chabal is a rugby legend and he started in 2000. he's not old enough to have dementia he's 48. there was another english player talked about in the video who has early onset dementia at 4-fucking-3. that's the point. playing rugby professionally is basically signing up to become a potato.
Very sad I agree. He was feared when he played. One of the hardest tacklers in the game.The risks caused by the nature of the game (and other dangerous pursuits) are worth it at a group level. Not everyone wants to be a badminton player. Also the damage taken by ex-boxers, rugby players and NFL players will hasten the solution to the diseases that are caused by these dangerous pursuits, as we study their brains and test new fixes on them.

>>155479483is it tho? let's think logically, people play rugby since the early 19th century, tens of thousands of players played a whole career of rugby and retired, if this was this common it would be common knowledge. it's still a sport where people tackle each other constantly so obviously the chances are increased compared to a person that doesn't play rugby but that doesn't mean that it's a given
