If you were Australia's coach, what sort of strategies would you be thinking of for their big game against USA?

>Defensively solid
>Counter attack
>Set pieces
>Win all first and second balls particularly in your half
>Game management. When you need a breather defensively, keep possession, win free kicks, time waste, slow the game down
>No unnecessary mistakes in your own box

The US are a poor side. The occasion will get to them. They'll become frustrated and overcommit if they are going for the win rather than a point. If they over commit in search for a goal, you'll have opportunities to counter attack them. If they settle for a point, be dangerous at set pieces to nick a win. Dominate the manlets on set pieces, and take advantage of any switching off.
