>Martinez brought ronnie and starts him
>But only to use him as the scapegoat once things go wrong

And so ends the tale of CR7
>>
>>155482700
So this is the reason why Ronaldofags are attacking his family on social media. I hope he will never win WC. I hate his fans so much its unreal.
>>
Okay then drop Ronaldo and start someone else ahead of him, would that change the fact that Portugal is mid, overrated as fuck and coached by an absolute fraud? no it wouldn't. we know Ronaldo is washed but Portugal being shit isn't on him, he could still tap in a few if the rest of the team clicks
>>
Damn not looking good for Portugal
>>
>>155482700
The problem is Portugal have a talented squad and many of them were in good form for their clubs entering this tournament. In the past (a decade ago) they were submissive to Ronaldo, because they knew, he had it in him to turn a game on its head, and physically he wasnt a liability.

But Ronaldo is now 41, with the same ego. Martinez doesnt have the authority or guts to deal with Ronaldo, plus Saudi Arabia have paying him oil money after this tournament. So the rest of the squad are probably pretty frustrated with both of them, because they're having to play within themselves, not to their strengths, to accommodate a Ronaldo that is no longer a game changer. Replace Ronaldo with a more mobile physical striker, and you'll see that midfield 3 behind him flourish

Ronaldo's presence doesn't exactly make them better but I don't think it's his fault that they're unable to pass forward. besides, where is that talent? Bruno with his meme assist record with the same number of open play assists as Haaland? the PSG systembaby frauds without Kvara and Dembele? the reality is they're just not that good as a team, of course Ronaldo will get scapegoated because that's just how it is
>>
>>155482988
lmao if they're so good Ronaldo being on the field shouldn't be an issue. they played like crap and got beat by a bunch of steroided niggers with a 5 man defensive line while all they tried to do is side attacks and cross kicks
>>

Bruno Fernandes is a goal and assist machine, and has been his entire career. What are you talking about.

>I don't think it's his fault that they're unable to pass forward
The opposition defence can literally sit on the half way line. This makes life harder for the Portuguese midfield. It becomes pointless for the wingbacks to go forward because nobody is in the box when they arrive. They know nobody in that attack is a threat running in behind.

Portugal isn't even making it past the 16th round

other option (ramos) is just as bad, besides the egyptian is right, no matter who starts the midfield will just pass the ball sideways and backwards
>runs in behind
martinez doesn't play with this kind of striker anymore, it's why he told lukaku to bulk up and eventually ruining his united career
>>
>>155483128
They had 75% possession and one attempt on target
>>
>>155483200

So how are they going to get further up the pitch. How are they going to create more space in midfield or play through opposition defence. Without taking Ronaldo out of the side.
>>
>>155482700
he's 41

They had more touches in the box than Norway did against Iraq and Sweden did against Tunisia

Tunisia and Iraq are very defensive sides. Opening games. Small data sampling. Sweden shouldn't have qualified. So where are you going with this. Are you taking the long way around to shill Ronaldo?

What if..... Ronaldo is passed it, no more than a bit part player anymore, and Portugal had an off day? What part of that angers you most?

Let see if Martinez has balls and some free will
