>An NFL player covers about 2 kilometers (1.25 miles) of active distance per game, resulting in roughly 34 to 40 kilometers per 17-game season
>"you will never understand...this is like a chess game...ok...A CHESS GAME!!"

Looks like a bunch of fatsos playing Fatball to me.

Real Football: 10 to 12 kilometers (6–7.5 miles) per game. A full season can easily exceed 400–500 kilometers.
>>
>sports enjoyment is determined by running distance

ok......
>>
>>155524323
>>An NFL player covers about 2 kilometers
Maybe if you count all the steps he took on game day
>>
>>155524323
Now run that distance while colliding at full speed into a 6’5” 250 lbs dude the whole way
>>
>>155524323
This makes it the easiest sport to correograph and rig along with glove magnets
>>
17 games? Is that it?
>>
>>155527118
Players would die with more. Same reason boxers and mixed martial artists don't have many fights a year
>>
>>155527118
It makes every game matter
>>
>>155524323
Yeah, nah, you don't understand cause you've never played it. The point isn't solely how far you can run, it's how far can you run after taking repeated full body beatdowns play after play. If you get the ball in the NFL, you WILL be getting speared by the full weight and power of an athlete that has maximized their body to be a meat hammer. They're sole purpose is to distribute enough pain to break your will to ever pick up the ball again. Also by your logic marathons should be the most famous sporting events in history
>>
>>155524323
>the more you run the better
Hockey average is like 15km
>>
American Football team:
One white guy who can throw
One black guy who can catch and run fast
A wall of fat niggers to wrestle the other team’s fat nigger wall
Man on the sidelines dressed as a gopher or something

This is just dick measuring between A tiers
>>
I remember reading that the average NFL play mere minutes during a whole career kek
>>

>One black guy who can catch and run fast
You need more than one of those.
>>
>>155524323
>a pro soccer player will take 60 shots and score 0 goals

Not quite running, but death march was the pinnacle of Olympic meme entertainment.
>>
meanwhile marathon runners average 42 km/game and 10000+ km/year
>>
NBA players cover like what 6km per game?
>>155528680
Also this. Pretty sure fast bowlers in cricket cover like 5km+ per day of a test as well
>>
>>155528680
Never heard of this. Looks like rugby but gay
>>

now how many car crash hits does the average footiefaggot take in a season?

>>
>>155524323
>NFL players sustain an average of 30 to 50 significant impacts to the head per game, with the hardest collisions exceeding 100 Gs—a force equivalent to a severe car crash. Over a 17-game regular season, players endure hundreds of heavy, car-crash-level impacts and thousands of sub-concussive hits

and they are still guaranteed a life of CTE

>>155528583
Not true anymore, there’s fat white guys, black QB’s, and white wide receivers and running backs nowadays,
>>
>>155524323
yeah that's cool and all
hey i thought the NFL was boring sometimes, but this soccer shit is boring as hell
you guys really watch people kick a ball up and down a field for 90+ minutes and not ever score on a wide ass fucking net year round? Without the effect of an elimination or a championship I have no idea how you guys enjoy this slop when it's a meaningless regular everyday game kek
>>
>>155530466
They have relegation which they make out to be this big deal with teams having to play hard every match. Except in reality big teams will always have the money to by the talent to avoid being relegated while maybe 1 or 2 teams circulate from the top league to the 2nd tier.

>maximum of only 21 meaningful games in a season
>60-minute matches
>average career less than a decade
I could believe unless you're a superstar in a more cushy field position, or just very good at convincing doctors the CTE hasn't turned you into a vegetable yet, that you're only getting minutes in your brief time in the NFL.
>>
>>155528680
this has to be the gayest sport just by how the players dress.
>>
Explain it to me, why does NFL have concussion reputation but rugby doesn't?

Is it the pads making it the worst? Do rugby players tackle differently? Size of the athletes?
>>
>>155531239
Nor ours. Neither of us care.
>>
>>155531335
It’s like boxing. Protective equipment allows you to slam into players without fracturing bones, rupturing eyes, or cutting your skin. That means players feel comfortable slamming into each other with far more speed. That impacts the brain. Same with boxing. Bare knuckle boxing will lead to more blood and more broken bones, but boxing with protective equipment(even MMA gloves) lets you hit people in the head without breaking your hand. That impacts the brain. Energy dissipates into something, and protective equipment tends to just dissipate it into your organs rather than your bones.
>>
>>155531335
>The pads mean they can be more reckless, and as a result NFL hits are higher impact
>On top of this, rugby is a free flowing game whereas American football players get time to regroup after every tackle meaning they're effectively throwing the kitchen sink at every play. The field positions also differ
>NFL linebackers don't need to be as athletic, so yes, they're bigger than rugby players
Somewhere amongst this is where you'll find your answer, I believe
>>
>>155531335
Americans have smaller brains so they can pick up greater momentum in the skull
>>
>>155531192
You guys are so sensitive about soccer being "real" football. Soccer is just one of several codes of the game which developed over a hundred years around the Anglosphere. As you pointed out yourself American football still has many moments in the game when you need to kick the ball.
>>
>>155529505
>They can't run but look at how they're speedrunning brain damage!

I made the mistake of watching Czech Republic vs South Africa the other day, and there were so many long stretches of the game where the teams literally just passed it back and forth on defense without the ball advancing at all. Even the announcers were completely silent. It's just pathetic. The sport needs a mid-court rule and something of a shot clock like basketball, or to shrink the field of play and force the action to become more chaotic like hockey.
