He was by far the funniest part of the game. This was a wc classic, one of those games you just had to be there for. Guy getting redcarded for saying some shit, the roach coach getting yellow carded for screaming, the fucking ref blowing his whistle every 5 seconds because nobody was listening to him. i know youll all call me a faggot, but i ref soccer, and i actually keep up with some of the refs around the world. barton is by far my favorite concacaf ref, and one of my favorite refs in the world. he stands out in the world of concacaf because all the other refs in mexico and central america like him (he is from el salvador) let concacaf teams do endless bullshit and kill each other and lose control of every game. barton is the only one who actually cards players (yellow card in the first 2 minutes) and keeps this shit in control. yes there will still be shithousing whenever any hispanic country from central or south america is playing, but he keeps a lid on a lot of it. i would really like to see him to go the usa and get picked up by pro to do MLS matches.

They gave them chances and then an extra man and then more time and then ANOTHER extra man and then even better chances and the Turks just kept fluffing it and getting angrier and more frustrated as it went along.
