It has several large affluent neighborhoods with some of the nicest and costliest architecture you'll find outside europe. The Argentine middle and upper classes live better than any other latam group, especially since many have dual citizenship in Italy or Spain.

Argentina has 50% of its economy in the "black market" (they don't pay all the taxes/they evade them), which means that official government agencies can classify you as "poor" when you're actually "middle class" and own two houses/cars, if you know even the basics of accounting.
