The solution to "meaningless regular season" in the NBA, NHL, and possibly other sports is simple.>Keep the # of teams making the playoffs more or less the same as it is now>Grant top 4 teams 1 automatic win in their first best of 7.>Grant seeds 5 through 8 a certain number of points each game.Seed 5 gets the most points, Seed 8 gets fewer.Now all the retards and (((owners))) still get to cheer their sportsball team for most of the year, but there's a much bigger incentive to do well during the regular season.
