I dont see how you can go all-out to get tonnes of Olympic medals across dozens of sports, and then not be able to put together a good footballing programme. Have you ever been to China? Some people are nice but 90% of them are very selfish. I wouldn’t call it individualism, since China is a highly collective society (ie when something goes wrong, the whole society/group has to go down with them; an example: if someone is ill prepared and dies during a hike, they would shut down the whole mountain by fencing it all around and nobody is allowed to hike anymore).I go to China once a year to visit a factory for work, and it took decades for our company to find a business partner that wouldn’t betray us. For example Japan have a 100 Year Plan in which they plan to develop J1 League, win a World Cup by 2092 and produce a 4-10 players per year to Europe, which is working.
