Bloody hell Asp. 108.65 average and one dart missed at double.

Sykes repeating what his fellow Modus alumni van Schie did last time and getting to a Euro QF on debut

Cammy had too much to do from 2-5

Didn't know this was even possible these days. Could've easily broken first or last leg though, some games it's just not meant to be it seems.

Just like the last Women's Series, Beau fails to win either event on the Sunday. Probably be pleased with a couple of weeks off now.

Dykes' Matchplay field currently looks like this:

>(1) Beau Graves v (8) Kirsi Viinikainen
>(4) Gemma Hayter v (5) Vicky Pruim
>(2) Lisa Ashton v (7) Rhian O'Sullivan
>(3) Fallon Sherrock v (6) Deta Hedman

Sykes... umm, I mean: Yikes.
>>
Quarter-Finals:

>Cross v Aspinall
>Sykes v Wattimena

>Gilding v R. Smith
>De Decker v Nijman
>>
One hour bump.

Six Nations final is Wales v Scotland by the way, not much in terms of recognisable names other than David Davies (the NHS worker who lost to Littler at the Worlds) and Mitchell Lawrie. The rest are Challenge Tour/WDF jobbers.
>>
why do darts athletes all look 10 years older than they are
>>
>>155586302
Potentially funny situation incoming as Angela Kirkwood (who beat Beau earlier) is in the final against Eleanor Cairns. If Kirkwood wins, she will eliminate Viinikainen from going to Blackpool and put O'Sullivan into 8th seed.
>>
>>155589461
And astonishingly Cairns wins after Kirkwood misses at least 4 title darts!

So the confirmed Women's Matchplay line-up is as stated in >>155586302
>>
>>155589461
Oof Viinikainen lost her first round 4-3 with a 78 average, must sting a bit when the board next door had a winning average of 49.

The nature of the random draw unfortunately. The Women's Series really should be seeded.

I know we were laughing at Jo Andrews yesterday but who's laughing now!

No surprise at that brainfart, Matchfixer absolutely spanked him.

Sykes going home here if he plays like he did against speednjobber

Have a feeling Dross won't crumble like the others did, would loved to be proved wrong though.

Shame for Sykes, he got Bauldtism'd.

Unlucky Sykes, good debut though
Carn Smudger

Certainly got a future if he can bottle his A game, did throw some nails in that Wattimena game tho
>>

Scotland won that 13-6, Lawrie fittingly hitting the winning double against permajobber Llew Bevan.

And so Wessel Nijman makes it eight PDC titles this year and becomes the first player to win a PDC ranking tournament in Slovakia with an 8-3 thumping of Rob Cross in a high quality final, with both averaging over 102. The difference was the opportunities on the doubles, with Voltage having the unenviable stat of having fewer finishing chances (5) than his opponent won legs, as Nijman checked out at 50%. Rob missing the bull on 86 at 2-1 up to solidify his break was fatal as Wessel finished 68 last dart in hand, and then won 6 of the remaining 7 legs.

Despite being matchfixing scum, Nijman is proving he is the player to beat on the Pro Tour this season; there are very few occasions he goes off in Players Championships and European Tours, and if you don't take him out then, he will go on to win the title. With Blackpool coming up in just under a month's time, the most important question is this: can he FINALLY take this floor form onto the big stage and not shit himself in front of the TV cameras?

For the maiden PDC ranking event in Slovakia, it sadly fell away at the back end as Tom Sykes' semi-final run was really the only noteworthy point of the whole weekend; despite strong showings from both Cameron Menzies and Nathan Aspinall in individual matches, neither were able to repeat that in their following games.

World Series from the US is at the end of this week.
