Lads, even le heckin' wholesome Guardian is running hitpieces against /ourguy/...
>>
>>155624839
He's damaging his own legacy by putting his ego ahead of both the team and the nation, anybody can see it.

There's a reason he's in the Saudi league
>>
>>155624839
its really sad how he's trying to be the "LeBron of football" by playing as long as possible and spending millions every year on conditioning, but unlike LeBron he never tweaked his game at all to serve his aging body.

he's still the same selfish penalty merchant, relying too much on his athleticism rather than vision/IQ/spacing.
at least Messi learnt to do the latter.
>>
>>155624902
the penalty merchant/tap-in #9 is already his tweaked game, he's got nowhere left to tweak
>>
Ronaldo is bigger than Portugal

JUST GIVE HIM THE FUCKING BALL ALREADY
>>
>>155625170
They gave him the ball, he hit the snipers at jerry world
>>
he was never good anyway. most of his career goals are from being prissy, falling over, and crying about penalties. that's not a difficult skill to learn.
>>
if he was black they'd leave him alone.the guy is racking up hundreds of millions and they want him to stop providing for his family, if he was a woman of a nog they'd praise him for not giving up.
>>
Maradona ended up getting banned for doping in 1994 and yet his legacy from 1986 is as strong as ever. Cristiano Ronaldo can't do worse than that.

Erm.

what?
>>
>>155624839
Unironically this seems pretty mild considering Ronaldo is a symbol of le toxic masculinity and has rape accusations
>>
>>155625388
for The Guardian standards, that is
>>
We went through this in 2022, then again in 2024. The fact is he will never willingly walk away because of his ego and he brings in too much money for the Portuguese football federation for them or anyone they hire from now on to do anything about it. He's gonna be there in 2030 at 45 leading the line
>>
>>155625388
>has rape accusations
which no one believes because everyone knows he's gay
he only has kids because he's obsessed with his "legacy"
>>
>>155624839
forget about it mate. he will remain an elephant in the room on next world cup as well. anyone addressing the obvious is gonna get death threats.
>>
He'll never respond to any questions from Guardian journalists now.
>>
>>155624902
Football is also far more tiring ergo punishing the older you are. "Oldheads" can be good at basketball for ages because it requires less fitness and stamina, just game sense and being tall.
>>
>>155625344
Getting banned for doping is more kino than looking like a demented senior citizen in the pitch.

I've noticed the guardian seems to be doing more edgy stuff for a while now, they're finally caving to clickbait drivel after all and thereby removing the last reason to pay any attention to them ever.
>>155627558
You could say the same about whether you like coke or pepsi or some shit, it doesn't mean anything.
>>
>>155625317
Brother he could provide for his family with 1/100 of what he has. Let alone needing to rack in 100s of millions every year. He's just another greedy scumbag.

lebron never did that either

>unlike LeBron he never tweaked his game at all to serve his aging body
Bro what. He did exactly that during his time at Madrid. Spent less and less time on the ball and was less involved in the build-up and instead focused on good finishing and off-the-ball positioning. He did adapt his game but it was focusing more on scoring goals than anything. He was never going to be as good of a midfielder as Messi, his close control, passing accuracy and vision are not on the same level. Being strong, tall and having incredible positioning are his strengths and they lend to being a 9 more than a midfielder.
>>
>>155625344
Maradona doing coke elevated his legendary status though.

>the guy who represents every teenage boys idea of the "strong man" is more popular with the right wing
Colour me surprised. Next you'll tell me Homelander is more popular with the right wing.
>>
>>155624902
Meh, he did tweak his game... His problem is age. The average footballer retires between 34-36. Ronaldo was world class until 36 and was getting 40+ GA in Italy. When he went to Man United, it was all downhill from there, because physically he just can't push himself anymore.

He should've retired at Juve, but he is his own worst enemy at this point.

Absolutely this. He did more than "tweak" his game, he became an entirely different player to accommodate aging. I remember when he was first going to Juventus wondering if he would still have it - and in fairness he did, at that advanced age. He should have stayed there as long as he could and then gone to a retirement home like MLS or the Saudi league, the move back to Man United was just crazy and instead of recognizing it as an embarrassing failure and learning from it he's gaslit himself of it being a great success and making the exact same mistake with Portugal of overstaying his welcome and becoming more a handicap on than anything else.
>>
>>155627628
commie. you commies don't understand people. 2000 dollars or 10 millions a month it's the same thing, a normal person wants to earn money, to feel usefull.
