This is a treat that historically speaking only elite athletic squads receive from their opposition.We don't have the electric striking and one-touch passing of top-tier teams.But we have an elite manager and a defensive strategy that creates a very strong back line and makes scoring on us difficult.If you look at where we were 10 years ago, every single player on our roster with the exception of GK Matt Freese has spent substantial time in either EPL, Serie, Bundesliga, or Eredivisie.It wasn't long ago that it was just a bunch of MLS guys.Our players aren't individually elite, but they have all spent years facing elite international competition.It would be foolish to underestimate us, let along write us off that this point.
