I simply envy Japan's football system. When I say the system, it means the system that trains systematically from a young age. It's not centered around an individual but has solid organizational strength. There are not many players acting like a celebrity, resulting in an organic team. Let's talk about football fans. Thanks to the lack of bad mentality among the citizens, the national team can be led by the same coach for a long time. Unlike the Korean people who rush in as if to kill when an athlete makes a mistake, the Japanese cheer like a high moral citizens.

I hope Japan do well. You guys show the good example of East Asians to the world

I'm 100% Korean, I'm not even a weeb. I don't watch anime. I'm just general Korean football fan, and I hope Korean do better in the future. I served the military

serving the military is admitting you did the bare minimum in SK, like saying you have a college degree.
It just means op isn't a complete mental or physical fuck up like president Lee or had no connections to skip service with the thinnest of justifications like ex pres Yoon

Being a stronge soccer nation is not about having a good system. Its about having top tier genetic pool of talent + having enough people trying to become soccer pros.

Here in Brazil we have 200.000.000 people and soccer is the nation's top sport by far. Our genetics is not that special, but we win on raw numbers. Some countries have just freaky genetics like Norway, so they can breed some freaks from time to time, still its a tiny population. Other countries just import the genetics from Africa like France.

Japan thinks that anything can be solved with collective national effort, that's retarded, France will beat you by importing a jumpier ngubu from Mali, and Brazil will beat you simply because we have a bunch of lazy mulattos with nothing better to do than kick a ball around, no system needed.

Brazil already suffered to beat Japan in 2022. Last year, you already lost to them like bitches. I don't deny that you have a small advantage over them due to some of the stuff you mentioned, but if anything, we know how easily you choke when the other team apply the pressure.

That level of dribbling only comes from people who start in futsal. Nowadays, young talent who is destroying the competition in futsal quickly gets hired to professional soccer, so they have less time to get that proficient at dribbling. We are probably not seeing a Ronaldinho any time soon, the next talent from Brazil will be much more boring and "balanced".

Norwegieans are tall as fuck and very strong. That is their advantage. They are the tallest team in the WC. Its not simply being white, plenty of whites are pretty unremarkable phisically. This why Iceland, despite being a very tiny nation, had some success in soccer. Of course, with a country that tiny, you also need to have good organization and talent couting, however that wouldn't be enough if the talent wasn't there to begin with.
>>
>>155875923

they're not. apart from halland their players look weaker than any african med and most latam teams

Norway is a pathetic footballing nation and always has been. And it will continue to be so. They’re going to lose to Brazil. They’ve a relatively good attack, but the rest of the team is Scottland tier. Prob Tier D

That was more or less my original point. Norway's big problem is simply population size. Earlier, when soccer was a more niche sport you could still succeed as a small nation, that is how Uruguay won 2 World Cups. Croatia and Portugal being able to hang with giant nations is quite shocking though, they really punch above their weight. That being said, its mostly a game for big nations with big populations where people really care about soccer and whose genetics isn't absolute trash(like India).

Btw, if the US decided to focus on soccer for like, 4 years, they would win a World Cup easily. They are clearly the country with most raw potential.

Dumb post and your reasoning is a perfect example of why we've been failing for 24 years. Having a large talent pool is not enough in the 21st century. It helps, but the quality of youth training is what truly matters at the end. The more you invest into training young players and the better your methodology is, the better your results will be. This is what separates fast, lethal and effective France from the physically oppressively but extremely ineffective Colombia.

There is just so much you can train. All top nations have good youth academies, plenty of nations are wasting ton of resources trying to engineer talent like China and Japan. But in the end you need inate talent to polish in the first place.

>>155876890
The US has an insane amount of athletic talent. If they were obsessed with soccer like Brazilians are, they would have like 10 WCs.
>>
Exactly what would happen if Japan makes it?

You are just wrong man, half of your players come to Iberia to be developed before moving on. You guys would literally be shit without Porto, Benfica, Sporting, Barcelona and Madrid developing your talent, because Brazil just cannot do it.

>>155876890
God American schools look like amusement park wtf

people who barely know anything about japan just go like ''japan is just organized well'', ''japs are like robots'', ''japs don't care about individuals but we do'' etc. not just about football

basically all stereotypes but it's a waste of time to listen to them. only results matter

Brazil is still the only country outside Europe that brings 18-year-olds into top clubs.
Just in the last two years.
Vitor Roque – Barcelona
Endrick – Real Madrid
Estevão – Chelsea
Vitor Reis – Manchester City

All of them have gone straight from the youth ranks to top European clubs, or to teams featuring the best players on the planet.
>>
>>155877164
But its torrally different like the Son-based psyopsed football plays, isn't it
And football fans in your countries have high morals unlike Koreans

I don't think the Japanese are insectoid robots. But you guys seem to believe to much in the power of collective effort and hard work.
>>
>>155877061
That’s a fallacy. What happened 10 years ago was that Portuguese clubs had an economic advantage over their Brazilian counterparts, EXPLOITING this economic gap and snapping up promising talent as both a footballing and business opportunity.
Today, the situation has been reversed. Palmeiras have just turned down a €40 million offer from Napoli for Allan. Essentially, Portuguese clubs no longer have the financial clout that the top Brazilian clubs possess today, and so they are no longer able to sign the best young prospects. These players end up exclusively at the biggest clubs or in the Premier League.
>>
>>155877061
What you're bringing up is interesting but I think it's part of a different issue. Portugal is a gateway in the sense that it is a good place for our players to prove themselves and also adapt to European football which is completely different from South American football. Primeira Liga and midtable Premier League are great for this both because of the level of the squads and because the clubs are indeed good at training young players. But even if our academies were spectacular, there would be nothing that could be done to replace this European adaptation stage.

The issue is that there is an earlier stage of youth recruitment and development that is more critical and we fail at. You look at some of our best players; Vinicius, João Pedro, Rodrygo, Estêvão, Luiz Henrique, Rayan, Endrick, they all went through a proper development path where they started playing futsal for big clubs even before puberty, transitioned to proper football as they reached the proper age and did all of their training in the same club from beginning to end. But that isn't the norm here. Most players are developed in the same way as Douglas Santos, Igor Thiago, Danilo, Bruno Guimarães. They started playing for irrelevant small local teams in their teens until they got noticed by a bigger club that poached them by the time they were already almost of age. Sure, it worked for them. They had enough talent to still play at a high level despite the insufficient development. But maybe they could've been even better. And for most players this causes irreversible developmental deficits that dooms them to be shitters for the rest of their lives. Look at Hulk's Wikipedia page and check his boyhood clubs. It's a miracle that he accomplished what he did.

20 years ago. And that was down to economic factors, not a lack of ability to develop players.
Both Argentina and Brazil are fully capable of developing players to the highest level.
Just look at Flaco López and Giay in the Argentina squad today, and Arias (who was one of the best on the pitch today) in Colombia.
These are just a few examples. There are many more.
Even Danilo Santos, who should be starting in place of Casemiro, came through the ranks in Brazil, went to the Premier League, got injured and returned to Brazil.
These players compete at the highest level in the world and were developed here in South America as players.

This strategy does not fail.

Merits to Palmeiras and Fluminense. But just because we have a handful of clubs who are good at developing talent doesn't mean the nation-wide youth development system works. There's a reason why virtually every good Brazilian player in 2026 can be traced back to the same clubs either in academy level or their early professional years. Half a dozen clubs have been carrying Brazilian football for quite some time.
