Can you answer this question for a Football noob? (im saying football to be nice)

Would France beat like the best league teams in the world? Or is it generally seen as actual professional teams being higher level than even the best national teams?
>>
this france team would beat nearly every club, apart from maybe psg.

This. If Nuno Mendes and Vitinha played for France then it would be the strongest team ever.

>Would France beat like the best league teams in the world?
No. So far France only beat weak teams. Yeah, the attack is strong but everyone knew that. Defense is shaky and I'm not too confident about England or Morocco.
A top club like PSG, Bayern whatever would probably beat that team.

It'd be pretty strong yeah, probably semi-finalists in a Champion's League
>Or is it generally seen as actual professional teams being higher level than even the best national teams?
Yeah, the best clubs are almost always better than the best NTs
>>
People can't seriously mean it with a straight face? France would lose to AS Roma. You can't compare NTs and clubs.

nuh uh, im OP. I genuinely don't know a ton about this sport but im starting to enjoy it more now that im older and higher IQ. I enjoyed the last world cup too but I never decided to follow a league or a club after the WC ended. Might need to pick one after this. Mainly an American Football and MMA nerd

if you let them train, then yes, they would kill most of them
if you mean if a champions league finalists walks through a time portal and they have to play them tommorow, then no
>>

No
>>
>>156014545
national teams would get trashed around by top clubs. I mean unless the national teams can train together every days.

Consider that most professional teams train together all year round. Tactics at a club level are far more systematic and drilled, they are extremely used to playing with their teammates and managers/coaching staff essentially micromanage everything in modern football. I don't think they would beat elite clubs (last 16 of UCL) but I think they could beat a lot of teams through talent alone. If they were to train together in the same way a club does, I imagine they would probably beat most teams yes but against a PSG,, Arsenal, Bayern, etc, no.
>>
>>156014545
Generally no, but France and Argentina probably would, yes.
>>

If they trained together all year round then yes, probably

There was definitely a time when you could have said that the world cup was a more competitive tournament than top club level but that was probably like 20 years ago.
