Does anyone actually enjoy watching him play? Outside of scoring, he does absolutely nothing on the pitch.
>>
>>156601340
he used to be a lot more fluid in his dortmund days, pep ruined him like he ruined aguero and every striker barca ever signed.
>>
Because he's a pure striker? what's wrong with pure strikers? they should only be judged on finishing and positioning.
>>
>>156601340
I don't know anything about soccer, but to me he is the most interesting player.
>>
>>156601340
He's based as fuck. Makes mexicans like you seethe uncontrollably
>>
>>156601340
the fuck else is he supposed to do
>>
he's so chilled out and aura farming all the time. that's where his popularity comes from
other than that he's an elite striker and those are always recognized. much more so than midfielders or defenders

This, also he proves that American Football Players would dominate in Soccer
>>
>>156601340
he does though, i've seen him defending very often, it even costed him counter attack opportunities
besides that he feels unstoppable, he tanks rough plays and even obvious fouls like they were a breeze, it's really impressive to see

He used to be like that, but not anymore. He was an awful football player.
Nowadays he's able to contribute a lot more, but for whatever reason (that ultimately worked), the manager didn't want him to do that in their last game. I think it might be because Haaland doesn't seem to have particularly good stamina if he's made to drop into the midfield, usually coming off before 90 minutes last season. The game could have gone to 120 and Norway definitely wanted him to be there for all of those minutes.
>>
>>156601517
that was extremely shameful but no one expected anything from usa to begin with so it'll pass

I just learned that your flag (and Honduras and Nicaragua's) is based on ours due to a French-Argentine corsair that contributed to Central America becoming independent from Spain.

Can we ban americsns from soccer discussions?
>>
>>156601522
When he isn't scoring his job is drawing aggro. Brazil was forced to waste like 3 guys on marking him at any given moment.

>Lurks around to the point of making the defenders forget about.
>Accelerates out of nowhere.
>Uses a combination of agility, strength and speed to get past the defenders at exactly the right time.
>Gets the ball in the net.
>Worth millions.
Hmmm who does this remind us of? El goblino Messi naturalemente! Pure strikers are worth it if they’re able to score enough goals.
>>156601434
American football players are too heavy, and lack any skills with their feet to control, kick or pass the ball with any accuracy that’s higher than your average person.
>>
Are Americans confused about what a striker does again?
>>
>>156601751
I have 0 idea what the “positions” are and have been casually watching since Messi and Neymar were on Barca, I just see a bunch of guys kicking the ball around and get mad when they kick it the wrong way
“INTO the goal, retards! Wrong way, dumbasses!” I shout
Not joking btw
>>
>>156601798
It’s not entirely intuitive because teams play in different formations, and not all teams use all “standard” positions for their setups, except of course the defenders (4-5) and the goalie.
Classic strikers lurk around high on the pitch ready to time a run, land a pass or scoring a fackin goal.

>pep
he actually improved a lot under pep. don't like him though or this saudi funded haaland shill campaign
>>
>>156601892
That explains why it always seems like the best players, which I assume are strikers, seem to do so much less than the rest of the team, which is constantly dribbling and passing and trying to penetrate to the goal. I should probably learn what’s actually happening at some point
>>
>>156601958
did you never play fifa/pes even once in your life?
>>
>>156601958
It varies a lot. Some strikers are “lazy” like that but if they’re good enough then it’s worth it. A lot of midfielders also score a lot of goals. Some attacking players are very good at pressing the opposite side even without the ball. Hell there are even tall defenders who are great at scoring with headers during set pieces like free kicks and corners.
You can also usually tell what a player does by the number of his jersey. Number 1 is the keeper, following 4-5 defenders, middle range is the midfield and the higher numbers 9-11 almost always denotes striker/ some variant of attacking midfielder.
>>
He is cool
>>
>>156601340
Scoring is the fun part of footie, lad
>>
>>156601958
haaland's whole thing is off-the-ball awareness and creating chances, other strikers tend to hold the ball a lot more
