Tough luck pal. Our benevolent overlords have determined that the soundtrack to England's memorable quarter final run is going to be a thirty year old song from when the country was overall much healthier, more stable and happier place place to be.

it's cinema though

play rock and roll by garry glitter instead, I remember hearing that one on sporting events, what happened?

Out of the entire history, ENTIRE HISTORY, I find it hard to believe that England chooses wonderwall of all songs.

That's what they were trying to mimic.
Why does Adele sound like a Mississippi negro?
>>
>>156604254
Well they don't sing in the accents they have when the singers talk regularly
>>
>>156604208
I think you’re confusing northerners saying words like bath and grass with a flat a sound

Some of them were genuinely just trying to sound like the Blues and R&B artists that inspired them, and carried it into their 'professional' period. The Rolling Stones are the obvious example, even though they used a lot of very British imagery and references in their songs.

But, I do think that some artists don't sound American at all and the perception is down to the fact that proper English has a wider range of phonemes and vowel sounds than American English accents, so the loss of distinction you get when singing a digraph like 'ea' sounds like an American drawl
>>
>>156604208
Stretching out lyrics and blending them isn't an American accent, just Americans speak like gay retards who are always singing
>>
For me? It's the American white women social media video accent
>so I was at the beach today? And there was some guy there? And he was like looking at me the whole time? And I was like omg what's going on? It was so stressful like wtf?

I think that is originally a California Valley Girl accent, but for some reason it spread across social media

Would take singing with an American twang over the modern trend of trying to sound like English isn't your first language
>>
>>156604123
He got done in for kiddie fiddling iirc so you can't play his music now at public events.

>maybe you’re gonna be the one who beat riggi
>>
>>156604126
because rock and roll is American and they were trying to sound like that
>>
>>156603405
Wonderwall is great. Brits actually make good music when they try their own thing and don’t just try to ape American trends
>>
>>156605540
damn, looks like he really was the man who put the bang in gang
>>
>>156604126
Because the Beatles were trying to imitate Chuck Berry and via osmosis they all copied that style
