How would you implement a possession/shot clock in Football/Sawker without turning it into a complete longball spam meme? The average possession time in sawker, according to JewgleAI is about 30 seconds, but that's taking into account all those 5 and 400 second possessions that happen every other game, so what would be a good amount? 45 maybe 60 seconds? What would be the consequence of wasting your whole clock? Also, wasting your clock has a different weight in something like Basketball for example, since the court is much smaller and plays can shoot from anywhere past halfcourt. In football, instead of suffering the punishment of wasting your shot clock, teams would quickly realize it's better to just gift the ball to their opponents...... So how to deal with that?
>>156615122> A: 10s to leave your own box> B: 20s to leave your own half> C: 30s on your opponent's half> If the clock ends with your team still in possession of the ball the other team has to start possession from their box. > If the other team manages to steal the ball, their clock starts right then and there.I would also add something like a backcourt violation like in Basketball> After crossing your half you can not pass back to your own. Upon violation, the opponent gets the ball in the center spot.

>>156615122I would leave it as is. This is not like e-sports where you can easily program counters and the like. Making up more rules just creates more rigs and sucks the soul out of the show.
