This is not football, soccer or whatever you want to call it.Not according to the International Board, football's own regulatory body.-Four quarters, twenty-five minutes each. A four minute break between the first two and the last two and a twenty to forty minute halftime break between the second and third QUARTER.-THISNOTFOOTBALL.-Overly dependent on technology, applying centenary rules with whatever bias benefits the current authorities –penalties, offsides et cetera–, or even worse, to better suit local politicians –nothing new , remember 1934 and 1938? How about 1998 and 2002?–-Fully enclosed stadiums with climate control.-This is NOT a FOOTBALL world cup.-Each country's association actively recruiting, poaching rootless players with no attachment to a given country's football tradition so to speak.Much like professional football clubs or American collegiate sports.Mercenaries.-Just like formula one has become a boring, muted "game" for brown midwits to compare stats and proclaim a "goat" every other month.-The sport being constantly steered towards whatever suits the betting "industry"-Money being the be all end all of the so called sport.Instead of the sport itself, the "game"-FIFA should either A. Be disbanded or B. Change its name.No more "restructuring" no more bs.-I can only hope whoever wins this so called world cup uses that clout to throw it's weight around and lead the charge to rid the world of sports of FIFA's corrupt influence once and for all._______Me personally, I'm done with this thing, apart from what I stated above, having watched world cups since 1986 I can honestly say that this is the single most boring wc ever, bar none.A month and a half is far too long.I just want it to end already.To be honest the wc is the last thing on my mind right now. –ther than my team's players either getting injured or transfered.–Other than that, please God let it end already...
